Once you add it to your Epic Games account it will be yours forever and the above link says you will get access to GTAO and a lot of "additional content"
I'm not really sure why Rockstar would go with that, honestly. GTA V still sells like crazy, so they don't really have much to gain by giving the game away, even accounting for extra revenue from GTA Online.
I think they make that much from GTA Online that giving the game away for free isn't an issue. It already goes on a crazy sale for like nothing at least once a month
Welp, the epic games store is just constantly crashing for me, in app and browser both.

Yeah looks like the GTA V giveaway is overloading the game store servers.
Epic Games Store
@EpicGames
We are currently experiencing high traffic on the Epic Games Store.
We are aware that users may be encountering slow loading times, 500 errors, or launcher crashing at this time and we are actively working to scale. We'll provide an update as soon as we can.
It's crazy a 7 year game is still so huge, Rockstar killed it with GTA 5
I'm a little surprised so many people still don't own it, it seems like it's always near the top of the best sellers on Steam
Modders re-buying software licenses so they play the game again online after getting banned for griefing and running mod tools. It's so popular that there are PAID mod tools for the online component that will get them banned on detection.
There is no single player DLC. All of the development post launch went into GTA: Online. Even the Red Dead Online players complain because a majority of work went into the gta: online portion.
Take 2 announced in march that since December they had a 54% spike in online micro-transactions.https://www.tweaktown.com/news/70469...rds/index.html so there's a ton of people wasting money on shark cards. (don't buy shark cards)
Still need to buy the facility for Doomsday Heist and the Arcade for Diamond Casino Heist. I don't know if the apartment is one of the high end ones, as having a High End apartment is also a requirement for the mainline heists as well.

Alot of people probably have it but don't have the PC version.
I remember it was on sale for $10 on the Rockstar launcher last Black Friday. I thought about getting it but decided I'd get it another time. It doesn't look like it's ever going to drop lower than $15 on Steam so if it's that cheap again next Black Friday I'll probably get it.
I probably would never have bought GTAV as the series just isn't that appealing to me, but if it's free, why not.

I'm a couple pages late on the Uncharted talk but I've been playing through them lately and wanted to share my thoughts.
-Uncharted: A great game for the time introducing the characters and game play we love but shorter, less refined, and less eventful than what follows. Worth playing once.
-2: Possibly my favourite game ever. I've played through at least 6 times. It's never boring mixing up combat and set pieces with exploring and puzzles perfectly. That train level just blew my mind the first time I played and it's still fun today. Also, the writing is brilliant on the level with any great action movie. The love triangle is hilariously awkward while also driving the story and I love the Marco Polo Easter egg.
-3: Similar to 2 with the graphics and epic set pieces but a few elements suffer. They have added new combat mechanisms but the fighting is still the weakest part of game. Also the enemies turn into bullet sponges late. The writing is okay but feels more like a collection of levels than a coherent story. For example the pirate level is one of the best parts of the entire series but doesn't fit into the narrative at all.
-4: Just amazing graphics and some game play updates that are actually fun. I also liked the attempt at making some levels more open. The story is pretty good and engaging but can drag at times. It's slow to begin with and then slow again in the middle half. Also loses points for no supernatural element to up the difficulty late and introducing a brand new game mechanic in the final boss fight.
-Lost Legacy: Like 4 with the great graphics, game play, and more open levels which makes sense as it was originally an expansion. The story is harder to get interested in without Nate as the protagonist but Chloe is a decent replacement and they did pander to me with another fun train level.
