Which one? Rider call in show or QR770? The rider call in show is always worth a few laughs after they lose.

That bomb to Bryant in the 3rd quarter might be the play that turns the season around for the Stamps. Offensively they didn't look sharp until they made that play. It is very similar to the play the Riders made last year in Calgary, the one that Getzlaf caught the game winning touchdown right at the end of the 4th qtr. The Riders gained confidence and just went from there, I could see the samething happening with the Stamps. In fact, it happened in this game because after that, they were very, very good.
I hope they use Cornish more and spell Reynolds. It is an excellent change of pace running attack.

Especially after they have to stumble two miles to use the community rotary phone.

Good thing Bryant had a good 2nd half - I think he was on the verge of getting fired.
Is it just me, or does Henry throw the ball too often where players should be, rather than where they actually are?
Defence looks great. Running game is impressive when both Reynolds and Cornish can spell each other.
Durant throws a lot of jump balls - lucky for him his players come down with a lot of them.

A random tweet from a rider fan tonight.
Absolutely horrible game tonight in Calgary if you're a #riders fan. I left the stadium halfway through the 4th.

What a win by the Stamps! 1st half was even and the Stamps made some mistakes especially Henry Burris and Romby Bryant. Defense played well during that time but Durant still managed to pass the ball to Getzlaf, Dressler and Fantusz.
2nd half was totally different. The Stamps made some adjustment. Burris started mixing up the plays and he got more involved by running the ball for gain. That seems to boost his confidence especially when they started marching the ball and scored some TD. Bryant, on the other hand also came back with the vengeance. Coaching staff made some good call by mixing up the running plays. They sort of confused the run defense by putting Jon Cornish, who is more a finesse running back and let him run the ball a lot. Then they put Reynolds, who is more a power back and he too started running the ball. Riders defense sort of backed off and Burris and compnay took advantage of it.
I thought our defense played well all night. They added some more oomph in the second half and really messed up Darian Durant's mind. Keon Raymond, Milton Collins, Brandon Browner, Juwan Simpson were just flying out there, while the defensive linemen stepped up a notch. They really dominated the Riders OLine all night and pressured Durant. Tom Johnson was in Durant's face all night.
Special team. Burke Dales had a great game punting the ball. Twice he put the ball deep with no return. Rob Maver didn't have much field goal opportunities but when he does, he delivers. I am so glad we finally have some threat on punt return. It is so exciting to watch Deon Murphy doing punt return because you never know what he can do. At least we are gaining 5, 10 or more yards not because of the no yard penalty (remember Howell?). He is also a big threat as kickoff returner.
Overall, the Stamps plated well execpt the 2nd quarter. What a day for me.. First I saw the Eskimos lost the game to Winnipeg, then Calgary beat the Riders badly. Final score Calgary 40 Riders 20.

Does Ken Miller have any idea how to coach? What bizarre decision making. Go for a field goal when you need a touchdown and still have a remote chance, then go for touchdowns when it's too late. Huh?

That was very strange. Why didn't he go for it on 3rd and 1? It was 33-10. What did they have to lose?

All I can think is he is trying to get sure points, in case it comes down to a tie-breaker.
BTW, EDM has the worst team in the NHL, and the worst team in the CFL.

And to add, the Oil Kings finished 2nd last in the WHL. City of Champions alright.

Just got back from the game. Had a feeling the Stamps would surprise you guys!
Also had a lot of fun heckling Rider fans after the game. Actually for the most part they seemed to take it well and in good fun. No "incidents" to report - which was nice since I was expecting the worst.
A couple idiots had to be ousted by cops on the East side one or two occasions but other than that it was a very enjoyable experience.

Guess I was wrong! Awesome to see the Stamps score...let's keep it rolling!
Also nice to see the running game working, I always forget how good Cornish but he seems to always rip big runs.

He's alright. And he's also probably better than any Winnipeg receiver (sorry couldn't resist throwing that in).
When you look at it Calgary still does have a fairly deep receiving corps, when Rambo comes back it will be one of the best in the league again. With Rambo, Lewis, Sam, Bryant, Franklin, Forzani, Murphy that's a solid group.
