What's so wrong with Ashley? I thought she was cast very well. She was a believable counterpart to Eric.

I think Ashley did a good job and played the part she was written well. I think most people were put off by her "unconventional" looks and skeletor frame. She was obviously a foil for Sloan and demonstrated the point E still loves Sloan. Job accomplished. Plus the wardrobe dept. could outfit her from Gap Kids and so the $$ savings were huuuge.!!

Please..Just because its a light show and you yourself view it that way does not mean it hasn't been bad. In that case the show can never fail in your eyes as long as it keeps popping out hot chicks and top 40 music. Doug Ellen himself has been on record speaking about how poorly Season 4 was.
I myself will say this season has been better then the previous ones, I just don't think it's fair to say were at fault for taking the show "seriously" because some of us couldn't handle weak storylines and C level acing.

So are you trying to tell me the show had great storylines and great acting in the early seasons?? Outside of Piven, is there a "good" actor in the cast?? I don't really think so. What was so much better about the storylines in the first couple season to the storylines of Season 4 and 5?? I just don't get it. Shows evolve but the root of the show has always been the same. It's about 4 friends living a great life.

I always hear about how bad everyone found season 4, for some reason I actually liked that one. I remember at one point halfway through the season I thought it was arguably the best one(just too much Matt Walsh - I hated him the first time he ever appeared on that show). Season 5 was definitely a step back though.
Just for the record, I've got Piven on my Twitter list, and he said today that this next Sunday is the best episode of the season. I'm guessing either something crazy happens or there's a hilarious celeb cameo. Aside from the first couple episodes, this season has been fantastic.

I don't get all the hate for Season 5. I really enjoyed it. For four season, it was essentially Vince getting everything he wanted and in Season 5, they turned the show upside down and showed the bad side of the Hollywood life. I definitely wouldn't want to see it for more than one season, but as a one off, I had no problem with it. The rivalry with the German director maybe ran on a bit too long, but meh. The story with Ari taking or not taking the new gig was definitely interesting despite the fact it probably wasn't all that logical. My favorite moment of last season was when Vince is getting on the plane with the models and you're left wondering what Ari was gonna do and Radiohead's Fake Plastic Trees was playing in the background. One of my all time fav songs. Great moment.

Probably will involve Drama's torture on the show. My guess is a gay angle.

Well, since like cameos so much, I re-watched the episode and that was Stacy Silver playing Sagget's moll. Didn't know she could speak English.

My buddy pretty much thinks that is one of the saddest moments of the show. It was very well done.
Anyways the thing that irked me about Season 5 was the ending. I don't mind the Scorese Deus Ex Machina as much as I did E taking Vince back so quickly. I wanted to see E apart from Vinny, but hey I guess this season I have the best of both worlds. Eric is continuing to branch out, while still with Vinny.

That is what I am thinking is going to happen, the gay angle. In fact, I am almost positive that's what it is going to be.

Yeah, not one of the funnier episodes. And Sorkin going to the jail with Ari? A little over the top. Not sure why he would say it's the best yet this season.

Drama makes the show. If you're interested, you can look at the episode blurbs on wikipedia to find out what happens the rest of the season.

This episode needed more Kate Mara and less Ashley.

Not a horrible episode, but nothing spectacular either. The Sorkin thing in jail was a bit much. And I was waiting to find out how Drama's boss was gonna make his life a living hell, but nothing happened.
Just so you know, the next Entourage episode is in 2 weeks.

I was really hoping the writers were going to make Ashley the stalker. That would have been awesome. Sadly, she's back in the series, freaking me out with her E.T. likeness every time she's in a shot.

Say no to Sloan for the anorexic 13 year old?! Way to be E.
Ari's face after Sorkin agreed to sign on was priceless.

What did Ari and Bab's do to piss off Sorkin? Or it just that he hates their type?
