A timeout, not Frolik's line, take your pick.
GG super casual in the post game presser about the late plays, in case anyone was wondering.

Our media is so soft on the coaches. Not one of them will have the balls to ask a tough question about the powerplay.

The only thing that hue can be blamed for tonight is the PP.
3M is our best defensive line - he needs to trust them there. They played good tonight so don’t think they were at all flat after the break. I’m not sure anybody takes a timeout there but easy to say in retrospect they should have.
Honestly it’s at the point where I don’t mind GG as coach but the PP is at a point where it’s worthy of being fired for all on its own.

Coaching is clearly letting this team down. This team should be doing better than this.

Say that's false and this is the best the team is going to get. Might as well start selling again, there's no point in moving picks.
Treliving has to do something in either case.

If I said what I really think of this team right now and particularly the coaching staff I would be banned by the mods.

Anybody else notice that the Flames really had a hard time getting shots on net? Seems like every time Backlund had a shot it was high and wide. Same goes for Monahan, if he's not trying to put it through the pads on predictable wristers.

Ever see Bill Maher do that bit called, “I don’t know it for a fact, I just know that it’s true?”
Well I don’t know it for a fact but I just know that it’s true that Brian Burke ####ing hates this coaching staff and the way this team plays hockey.

So, when does the Calgary media grow some balls and ask the tough questions?? If this is how they are going to play, good riddance to Ken King and the rest of the clowns.

GG is turning this team into the Minnesota Wild. Score a couple goals and dump the puck in for the rest of the game and shut down the offense. Loser system

No kidding. Can’t believe there are some posters defending him. This loss is 100% his fault. Even Matt stajan wouldn’t have made that play

It was the wrong play he should know better. Maybe he was playing safe as to not get hit who knows.

Backlund shoots it straight down Main Street every time, Monahan has been doing the same thing recently. Beyond frustrating

It was a ridulous play but it's hard to see why Smith is so caught off guard. It was unscreened and a pretty soft pass. He doesn't react late and goes out of his way to boot the rebound out - that's not something you do on a reaction save. It's not like it's unusual for Smith to try and do a little too much back there.
Frolik obviously shoulders the brunt of the blame for his play, but that was a strange, strange rebound for a good goaltender to be kicking out.

Give Tkachuk a ####ing letter and let him lead this team. Let him and Johnny play together too. Tired of seeing both guys carry their lines this season. Too many passengers on this team

Fall on it?
Dumb play on Fro's part. Just as dumb on Smith's. But he loves the big play with his stick, so....
This team just pisses me off time and again. Sometimes I wonder why I bother watching (37 years and counting...?).
Cameron needs to go. Please. I think they're just praying Versteeg will be back soon and "save" them. Cameron still needs to go.

Guys, icing a player who makes a mistake is pretty common. Quite often a coach gets lauded for putting the guy who f-ed up back out there. Frolik has been a stellar player all year, there's little reason to put him on the bench so he can think about what he's done. If the following play had gone the other way, commentators would be admiring GG for letting Frolik back out there.
Brutal way to lose, infuriating as all hell. But that was a collective group ####-show, pinning it on Frolik being out there after his error is not very accurate in my mind.

May be Smith should stand up in the room and yell at Cameron, and tell him to fix his goddamn power play.
