The goal comes 16:30 into the sixth overtime period for a total of 176:30 of game play. It is also the longest NHL ice hockey game ever played.

Not always, but you can under the current enforcement standard.

Under the change they made this season, goals off skates are only disallowed if there is a "distinct kicking motion". As they've enforced it, that basically means as long as you keep your skate on the ice prior to making contact, it will be allowed.
