Seen Stamkos?

Seems strange to me that Roy would spout off about this, but at the same time I think it just creates some interesting drama around the top 3 picks, and I'm not surprised one bit COL would pick either one of Mackinnon or Drouin.

Colorado clearly signaling to the panthers that they'll need to make a deal and not rely on a player landing in their lap.

As an aside the fail that was this season will live on for years. We should be in the top three based in how bad we were. Why they didn't go full tank is beyond comprehension. I hope all the people who waxed ad infinitum about never tanking, never do the oilers route and always trying to be competitive enjoy watching the top four players play for the next twelve years. /rant

Here we go again. Did you not see the roster we had iced from the deadline to the end of the year? It's obvious management wanted this team to fail to get the highest pick possible. Teams like the Red Wings and Ducks should've showed up and won those games but they didn't. If anybody should be mad it should be the teams that lost to the line-up we iced.

How did they not go full tank?

They traded Iginla and Bouwmeester, and rested any player that was even remotely injured.

You cannot predict the Ducks and Wings ####ting the bed against the Flames, and the young guys winning games they had no chance of winning.

Tinordi will find a way to complain about anything. He is one of the usual suspects.

I know right? The Flames rookies should be ashamed at themselves for giving a crap. Hartley's to blame too for dressing a goalie rather than put out 6 forwards. WTF was he thinking? And what the hell was he doing having the Flames practice regularly? He should have made sure every Flame stayed away from the Dome and played more rounds of golf. And Feaster. Why the hell didn't he do more to sign some beer leaguers?

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Flames down the stretch. The played hard and the puck bounced their way. Funny how that happens.

Yeah, a better draft position would have been nice, but it was nice going to the office (in Edmonton) and having Oilers fans tell me how stupid the Flames were for winning, and at the same time they openly wished that their team played as hard.

this is an "aside"? this is like the primary focus of 80% of your flames related posts. sucking is an art that the flames are just not as good at as other teams, so get over it.

It was awesome to watch the energy although kind of sad to see them go on a hot streak right when it couldnīt matter less.

I think though the next season will really show the true state of the Flames. Even if they have another hot streak the full season will take care of them finishing in the bottom.
