I have a 3 strike rule. If I notice someone doing 3 stupid things, I'll finally lay the horn if they do a 4th and I'm directly behind them. Things like tail gating, cutting people off, failure to signal, floating over the line etc.
Doesn't happen often, but usually I'm also not the only one honking them.

I'll do the "my bad wave" and continue driving properly.
I frequently shrug at people honking when going below 40 kmph/playground or 60 kmph construction zones or at a full stop. I guess my existence means I'm an idiot and should stay off the road? I'm not driving speed limit in broad daylight. WTF you want from me?
I once got long honked by someone literally blowing a 4 way stop. I'm full stopped, I start rolling to turn and some lady 10-20 feet from the stop sign starts laying the horn and blows through the 4 way stop going speed limit. Blasted horn instead of touching brakes once. Why wouldn't I give a wtf you doing shrug?
I've been honked a few times when passing people who are going below the speed limit and floating close to the line. They then speed up and start honking. I didn't honk them, so I guess I hurt their ego by driving faster than they could handle. Why wouldn't I give him a "why you hefta be mad" shrug?
I get honked by people when I stop at a crosswalk with a pedestrian crossing. So I shrug. WTF am I supposed to do, hit them?
Last week, I got honked at Beacon hell when some guy decided to go into the oncoming lane, where I was, to try and go around someone he deemed slow rolling over the speed bump. He then honked me when he was the one who went over the yellow line in the oncoming lane. Especially this scenario, why wouldn't I give an Obama shrug? He's facing oncoming traffic.
I got honked like crazy by some guy in a truck who was mad I was driving speed limit with others in a construction zone. He drove over pylons to go around us. I don't think I'm wrong for that one either.

Honestly, dude, that's nuts. I get honked at zero times per year. Imma saddle up with you and give you some tips and tricks.

Last time for me, was after sitting in a lane that is absolutely not moving at all and wanting to jump into the next lane over and then you end up cutting somebody off that was coming relatively fast.

I don't get honked that often. I just remember these ones over the years vividly because of how incredulous I felt that I deserved to be honked.
The Beacon hill one was probably the first time I'd been honked in quite a while. I wish I had your train horn for that one so everyone could turn and look at that fool.

I get honked at quite a bit but it is because I don't enter an intersection if I can't clear it and many drivers downtown hate that during rush hour traffic.

Slept on the best mattress ever in a hotel once. To the point i called the hotel later and asked where they got them. Made in Germany and cost 10k..... how much is a good nights sleep worth?
______
Honky absolutely does not mean you are doing something dumb. People honk when they are clearly in the wrong all the time.

Totally. My only request is ensure you're not doing it on a busy (in terms of pedestrians) boulevard or something.
I see people doing frustrated stuff like that on 17th Ave, 12th Ave, etc, on a beautiful Saturday with people everywhere. At that point, the person doing the long beep becomes the #######. We don't need to all go deaf because someone is mad they got cut off.

Yeah, considering this started with a comment about the general unwillingness of Calgarians to use their horn, being honked at - let alone seemingly having a standard response for not only the first, but then the second honk - tells me it's you problem, and not everyone else.
The implied lack of self awareness by even volunteering that information in the context of the discussion further cements that theory.

OMG I'd honk the eff out of you, too. Scootch up, guy.
If some struggler won't bump up (so long as their ass end clears the intersection so it doesn't interfere when the opposing light turns green) you can end up waiting so long. I have an intersection like that coming out of work in the industrial park...one in 10 people won't bust into the intersection and it backs things up so much. When the regulars go through you can get half a dozen cars past the light without affecting anybody else. 10% of the time, though, you have some guy stopped at the green even though they could get through along with five cars behind them. I hate those people so much.

Finding out where nice hotels source their mattresses is a legit strategy. Same with pillows.

I recently bought an Emma mattress hybrid foam spring. It is pretty good. Only had it for 6 months now, but my sleep has improved fairly dramatically.
They messed up and sent me 2. I informed them of the mistake, confirmed that i only paid for one, and asked what to do. They told me just to keep it. So I also got a free one for my cottage.

Unwillingness doesn't mean no one honks. I am pretty sure I know when I'm in the wrong and deserved to be honked and when I'm not. What I volunteered is not over a year or two, that's more like a decade or two of driving.
I have a standard response to a multi honker because I've seen someone else effectively do it before in a parking lot, so I copied it. If someone's going to act like a clown, instead of road raging, I'll act like a clown too. It usually defuses the road rage situation effectively.
Feel free to go with your theory though. I'm not going to deny I'll have the occasional days where I'm not as good of a driver as I should be.

Pillows make a pretty big difference. Making sure the pillow is a good match to the mattress is important as well. I like a higher/lower pillow depending if I'm sleeping on a coil, hybrid or memory foam mattress.

Why did they put stop signs at railway crossings in the Foothills Industrial area? They never had them when trains used to roll through there regularly, but now that intermodal is the norm you rarely see them.
I probably answered my own question because I guess idiots aren't used to watching out for trains at uncontrolled crossings and are getting hit.

I noticed that, too. Like, are they for real? I don't feel like I should have to stop for them. I'm not buying it.
