I'd be inclined to go after Neighbors instead of Perunovich, even if the Blues downgraded the pick to a 2nd. Between Neighbors, Zary, and Kyrou you have some really good potential middle six centers.

Gaudreau - Eichel - Tarasenko
Mangiapane - Lindholm - Coleman

Pretty great top 6 as well with the bottom 6 looking like

Pelletier - Backlund - Kyrou
Lucic - Lewis - Pitlick

That 3rd line could be deadly with Backlund having experience skating with young players. The gamble is the health of Tarasenko and Eichel and I believe the gamble is worthy one at this point for both, that said again if it ended up being the scenario you presented and just a splash for Eichel I’d be more than content and happy this fanbase and team is afforded the chance to have a talent like Jack Eichel, it’s more than overdue.
That is a very tough lineup and one that would be very fun to watch. The top three lines all have some good scoring potential, and that bottom line is a crash and bang line. That would be fun to watch IMO.

No they aren't. You are not considering who the team asking is. If the Canucks wanted Matthew Tkachuk what are you asking for to have him haunt you all season? The price is much higher because it is a direct rival.

Last thought on the St. Louis suggestion from their radio crew. Scott Perunovich is a Valimaki level prospect. He won the Hobie Baker, has all the tools and a high hockey IQ. Would slot in ahead of Zary and Pelletier on the prospect chart and is NHL ready this year. Not a random throw-in, and shows just how much St. Louis might covet Tkachuk.

Perunovich and Kyrou, and you've got a deal... maybe.

Perunovich sounds like a great prospect.

I would trade Tkachuk for Tarasenko, Kyrou or Thomas, Perunovich and a 2022 1st if that was on the table.

(IF this wouldn’t derail a potential Eichel trade)

Some random dude saying the ask from Montreal was astronomical and Bergevin is out.. two 1sts and two blue chippers. And a top 6 forward.

I should add that none of these are accredited accounts lol. I'm just starved for Eichel updates.

Hold St. Louis against the coals. Change the "or" to an "and" which is a massive overpay and I'm all for it.

I would rather just not talk to St. Louis at all, is it just me? Roughly 25th ranked prospect pool, are we looking to do Tkachuk a favor for some reason? One day when Tkachuk reaches UFA and has control, he can sign with the Blues if he chooses. Until then. If they or any other team wants him they should blow us out of the water.

I agree, make some team overpay. However, with the mentioned return from St. Louis a page back that gave us a ton of futures and a few players with good upside, I'd have a hard time finding a better offer, or in other words someone willing to pony up for Tkachuk. If we were to deal with St. Louis, pretty sure we'd make them the worst prospect pool in the league post-Tkachuk trade.

A top nine that includes Gaudreau, Eichel, Tarasenko, Mangiapane, Lindholm, Coleman, Backlund, and Kyrou would be better. Three lines with scoring potential, all pretty quick and able to move the puck.

I don't see our third one as all that important if Eichel and Gaudreau are in the top 6. Both are players who's production is dependent on large amounts of puck control. They probably end up on different lines in a 1a/1b scenario, which means diluting the top 6 to build a better top 9 is a ba move, at the third line will get minimum offensive ice time. They'll be a shut down line for defensive zone starts.

Also too many question marks around tarasenko. Plus Tkachuk's intangibles are very important to the team.

What intangibles are we speaking of here? Just want to be clear about what we are talking about.
