Another day another Vladdy bomb.
I for one am also glad Toronto is out of Dunedin. Park metrics didn't have anything to do with the losing streak, but its nice for a change of scenery and to see a big league park again.

Agreed I was actually pretty annoyed with them playing there by the end of it. Hopefully getting on the road and then getting into Sahlen Field can help get them out of this funk.

Jansen calls a great game...but that bat is just not good enough.
Maybe the thought process is that there is so much offense every where else through the line up that his impotency at the plate is tolerable, but man its hard to watch.
Oh and Matz has been outstanding. More of that would go a long way to make this club legit.

Those extra insurance runs are huge. Now time to close my eyes and hope for the best in the late innings.

Matz is ticked, no wonder, two strikes not called.

And of course the Yanks get a run out of it. Inning should already be over.

That's a run on the umps. Get those union shills out of there and get the computers already.

Awesome outing by Matz, can't do a lot more than that. Need the bullpen to finally lock this one down.

What is with Chatwood lately? He just cannot hit the strike zone to save his life. Very frustrating to see him run out there by Montoyo.

Another obvious strike not called, ends up in a walk. C'mon.

I agree with buck. Throw your fastball. It’s a 5 run lead.

What a start from Matz.
If Manoah pans out, the Jays top 4 starters will actually be pretty decent.
The 5 slot will still be a black hole though. Hopefully Hatch or Pearson can shore that up down the road and get Stripling into the pen. I think Stripling might play up in the pen a bit.

Great to win and snap the skid!
In other news, do we have any update on Springer at all? It's like they're sweeping something under the rug and completely ignoring it. Every time I look for an update there's just nothing. No timeline or even fluff articles.
Obviously they're dealing with something more significant than they're letting on. It was all just lies about his thigh just being "a little fatigued". I know clubs are hell bent on keeping this under wraps but even a little transparency from the team would be appreciated.
It's getting ridiculous.
