One thing I've always wondered about the Calgary tower, and this is probably as good a place as any to ask this, is, what is the procedure going to be demolish that building?
Large Freestanding Concrete Tower, sandwiched by glass office buildings.
How do you take that down?

For some reason the cowboy hat arena reminds me of the old Jofa helmets.

Why do I keep biting when this gets bumped!!! Can we change the the title to "all information irrelevant to future arena plans"?

Brookfield's parkade is being built as we speak. It's 6 floors below grade, and they're working on P5 right now.
Sky Tower is breaking ground in February I believe.

It would be easy to assume this is a joke. But in a city where respectable institutions like banks feel they need to paint caricatures of buck-toothed horses saying "Yee-haw" on their windows every year, you never can be too sure.

If the Flames get an arena that looks like a cowboy hat I'm going to have to become an Oilers fan. Would be much less embarrassing.

This used to be a cowboy hat arena.
Now it's showing up as a Russian car accident for me.
I was so confused when everyone was quoting it, and talking about how it was funny.

That design is absolutely terrible!!!
You need at least a cowboy boot hotel beside it if the owners want to make any money.

Think of the tourism a building like this would draw.
The worlds largest cowboy hat/NHL Areana.
haha no thanks on this one. I doubt this is real.

I would think just adding the structures on top of the arena and the ground around it would come at a significant cost for something that serves no purpose other than to look like a hat.
