He's still easily a $6M player, everyone makes a mistake and has a giveaway now and then

Huberdeau is completely useless. He'd be doing the team more good if he covered his ass in 'Pledge' and polished the bench.

Hey man, he did in fact make a tape to tape pass last shift. That's pretty good for him recently.

How does polishing a bench in Seattle help us?

At times, seemingly yes. Weegar made that bad play and gave the puck away in his zone right up the middle earlier in the period. Really basic plays that he usually doesn't screw up, but tonight he is struggling. Hope he rebounds in the 2nd period.

Young kids playing well, really all I’m concerned with right now.

I’d like to see Coronato get a chance with Zary when he comes back up.

He’s clearly gifted. Spun around lightning fast to protect the puck, but then gave it up.,,,

Lucky to be 1 goal down with that 5 minute power play and none for the Flames

It'll be interesting to hear the panel's take on Mangiapane's crosscheck. No doubt there will be some opinions on number of games suspended.

Not a terrible period but that selfish, stupid play by Bread turned the tide. Flames get it right back only to have Weegar have a brain cramp and give the lead right back.

Some really simple things hurting the team tonight. Losing the battle between the ears.

And look at that. Puck on Huberdeau's stick to end the period and what does he do with it??

The first attempt hits a skate and the second attempt was metres wide.

Thats Elite stuff.

Set up Mangiapane for one of the best Flame chances in the period.

Other than the bad rebound (and nice play by Kadri), how useless is the entire Flames roster?

Terrible team, terrible strategy.

That last play by Huberdeau speaks to the lack of confidence IMO.

Tries to make a pass (a pass he would have made in Florida) and it's into the dmans skate. Then gets a shot in a good area and misses the net by a wide margin.

Guys confidence and ability to make those plays is just shot.

Not an effort thing at all though, he's trying, the skill is just gone.

I seriously am viewing all suspensions, injuries to our vet players this year as not a bad thing. Really enjoying watching young players with some actual desire on the ice.

Kadri seems to be getting it together. Older guys take longer to get going sometimes. You'd hope he would want to be a good mentor for the rookies at this point of his career.

Huberdeau is somehow looking the same if not worse. His confidence must be at rock bottom.

You are trying too hard to find Huberdeau mistakes. It was a decent chance, created by him. If it was Zary you’d be all “ooh, that was a good chance ”.
