I wouldn't be taking the Stars lightly. They are a decent team. Flames need to perform in the playoffs before any of their regular season creds are worth anything.

Dallas looks to be a good home team and a sub 500 team on the road. I think this might be due to their lack of depth and matchups so hopefully home ice can be a big advantage for the Flames.

It feels too good to be true. We got game 1 tickets in section 222 for $230/ticket and section 223 for $220/ticket in game 2. Through Ticketmaster verified resale.

Is there something bad about these sections that I'm unaware of not being a regular attendee?

They're both in the building, which is the most-important thing.

The only real downside to 222 is that the aisle to the main concourse is one of the only access points between the main concourse and the 300 level, so it gets a lot more foot traffic than a regular aisle. Depending on how close you are to that end of the row, the large number of people walking by can block your view of the other end of the ice, especially at the start of each period.

223 is also next to that same aisle, but it's not between you and the view of the ice, so it's not really a problem except that might make getting to and from your seats slower.

Thank you! We have the suite right behind us in so if people are blocking us we can possibly stand, but sounds like we are far enough away! I guess some people just really want to get rid of tickets and price them accordingly.

Had season tickets in section 223 for first few years. It always seemed like there was lots of availability there. I could never figure out why, it’s a great section. The only thing is that it’s the first section in the whites from the greens so it’s more expensive than the next section over.

In terms of viewing no issues whatsoever. In terms of access, only slight detractor is that people use those stairs to get up to PL so sometimes it’s a bit slow if you’re coming back up at intermission.

I wouldn’t worry in the slightest!

There aren’t really any bad seats in the second bowl. Enjoy the game!

Is there much chance of the Flames facing the Oilers, unless the Oilers either go through the Avs or the Avs lose to the Preds? It could only happen in the third round, yeah?

Looks like ESPN is actually sending a crew for all Canadian series unlike NBC piggy-backing off of CBCs/SN coverage.

TOR/TBL is getting Buccigross/AJ Mleczko
CGY/DAL is (for at least game 1) getting Gord Miller/Dominic Moore
EDM/LAK (Game 1) has Miller/Pascal (phew)

While I really like Ball, I can't complain about Gord Miller. Looking forward to getting revenge for 2020. Flames in 5

What are you talking about? The winner of Calgary-Dallas plays the winner of Edmonton-L.A., full stop.

Ah, okay. So it's just in division and not about point totals?
Just asking a question anyways.

[QUOTE=NegativeSpace;8268294]I had to look up the Stars lines from 2020.

DALLAS STARS (via NHL.com)

Jamie Benn — Tyler Seguin — Alexander Radulov
Mattias Janmark — Joe Pavelski — Denis Gurianov
Joel Kiviranta — Roope Hintz — Corey Perry
Andrew Cogliano — Jason Dickinson — Blake Comeau

Esa Lindell — John Klingberg
Jamie Oleksiak — Miro Heiskanen
Andrej Sekera — Joel Hanley

Anton Khudobin
Jake Oettinger

Khudobin caught lightning in a bottle in those playoffs and the top line was better than it is today. That may be compensated for by Hintz and Dickinson being better players. I remember Perry being a problem and Heiskanen being a huge surprise. On the whole I do think Dallas is a worse team today.

The Flames aren’t as prone to wild swings in their game this year and they’ve shown the ability to come back against Dallas. The coach has seemed happy with the players despite ending with a two game losing streak. Probably best not to have them win straight through so they have more focus. Better secondary scoring and team defence.

These are the Flames. My head says Flames in 5 but my history cheering for this team thinks a nail biter in 7 games.

((( Cory Perry plays for the dirty cheating Bolts now....perfect place for him I guess. ))))

Yes thats why there is divisional playoff seeding. Since you seem inexperienced with the current playoff hockey format, I will mention that point totals determine home ice starting in the 3rd round.

It used to be the top 8 teams in each conference, then 1v8, 2v7 etc... now its the top 3 teams from each division + 2 wilcards. Format is: 2 vs 3, 1vs WildCard for the 1st round.

There's a playoff format tab in the official nhl standings.
