At 9:45 this morning just before the insiders presale I logged in with my STH code and there was a LOT more seats available than the previous day. So they may release the seats a bit before the public sale. Worth a try tomorrow if you didn't get what you were looking for and haven't used your code yet.

There for sure will be more for the public sale. These things generally have no choice but to block off certain seats for each type of pre-sale and then the majority for the public sale

FYI there are some pairs of singles close by available for all games. (ie singles stranded between two people).
Easy to just ask that pair to shift over 1 seat and buy em' a round.

I noticed yesterday a bunch of the singles were aisle seats.....not a bad way to see the game.

Just to clarify from myself, I wasn't making a 'real fan' argument. I was just looking forward to the point in life where I can go to these kinds of games!
And kinda being jealous.
Okay, very much being jealous.

I don't think that will work for April 4th's sale. The Insider Code I received on April 3 states that it will expire at 11:59 pm on April 3. The STH code I received on April 2 states it will also expire at 11:50 pm on April 3.
Of course it is worth a try ... things fall through the virtual cracks all the time with these sorts of things.

Lots: More tickets then I expected.
I was surprised how many seats there were at 10am. I didn't count tickets, I'd guess 800 - 1,000 tickets. Every section had seats except for lower PL, though the top 4-5 rows of PL were basically all for sale.
I was most surprised by how many really good seats there were. Lots of great seats in lower bowl and quite a few incredible seats, like right along the rail of 2nd level. There were 6 in a row on the rail at one point.
I just logged in now and only single seats left. So I guess people did pay up.
In the end, it looks like everything worked out. Flames get a bit more revenue, people that thought the price was too high (like me) feel great that we didn't buy tickets and people that thought the price was right were able to get some tickets.

My husband and I just bought playoff tickets for Game 5. While we have attended many regular season games, this is our first playoff game.
A redundant question based on very wishful thinking, but what would happen to our tickets if the Flames were to sweep *insert opponent name here* and there was no Game 5?

Saw on Twitter s story about families complaining about the price of tickets and they say that the flames should make some low cost tickets available. I get the argument, but the flames are in a no win situation. Make 500 tickets available and it is not enough, and then 300 of them wind up in the resale market.
Playoff hockey is expensive. If you want in, you gotta pay. I would not be sysurprised if the price of concessions go up as well.
If you want affordable playoff hockey the hit men are still going and the is athletic action in okotoks and the midget aaa games go this weekend as well

Too rich for my blood.
Different situation, and kind of irrelevant, but I got lower bowl tickets for Canada Russia in Vancouver 2010 and face value was 335
|
I looked at ticket pricing over all and said it was too rich for my blood. Will be the first year I haven't attended a playoff game.
The above said if the Flames can get what they are asking for then I think it's great. As a business they have the right to get as much as the market will bear for their tickets.

It is too bad the Flames are unable to make a viable profit in the aging Saddledome.

I'll start training the lungs now.

Are (discounted) playoff tickets not available through Co-op and Golftown? Obviously you’ll need to get there early (or be lucky if there’s a draw), but I remember waiting in a huge line at Chinook Centre back in 2004 to just get a chance to purchase playoff tickets. Sometimes you do what you have to do and hope for the best...

What did 04' sport check zone seat cost? $30??
Those were awesome because it made fans show up at doors open, run to their seats to claim a spot. Then they had some brews and waited the hour and a half till the game creating chants once in awhile. The closest thing the dome has had comparable to a supporters section.

Bet they're rows 15+ of the PLs and at full face. The mad rush at Sportchek was great because there were so many tickets and they were so cheap.
