I’m sure that forecaster from Mexico City is a meteorologist as well.

I always switch over to the oppositions broadcast for the post game show if it's an American team. Seems that SN can't be bothered to put a decent one together for us folks here in Canada.

The Philly one was great today. I got the impression that the Flyers are going through growing pains like the Flames were the past couple seasons. Not able to avoid simple mistakes that end up in the net and goaltending issues. Apparently they are 1 goalie away from setting a new NHL record for most goalies used in a season...and there's still half a season left to go.

I've used chick as a term of endearment for sure. I feel like it can be used as a "dude" if you have a proper relationship with someone.

"Yeah, she's just a really cool chick."

But yeah when referring to "That chick" on the TV or something, especially when comparing her ability to a man based purely off her looks, it is demeaning.

Just an observation
Well, I'm not a man, so there's that :P

As a professional meteorologist that doesn't have "the looks" to be on TV, I personally find choosing a "weather girl" based solely on her appearance the degrading part.

Granted, I'm a meteorologist myself so I hold my "weather people" to a rather high standard.
I believe ASP (No idea what that username means...) is female. Not sure if that earns a pass or not.

Oops. Too late. Also, Garcia's wiki page says she is a "television presenter".

For sure it would be.

Do you know her qualifications or background?

Are we REALLY going to start discussing sexist undertones and meteorologist credentials after a fantastic win?

Come on, CP. We can surely do better than this.

That ATL cannot come fast enough.

Came to celebrate the big OT, see we've found ourselves once again needlessly caught up in being overly politically correct and searching for "de"meaning where there is none.

Really love that the team can play on the road, with travel, have a meh game, and have superstar calibre players like Giordano, Tkachuk, Gaudreau and Rittich put the game on their backs and run with it.

What this team is able to accomplish is so amazing, and they are doing it in such a more dominant fashion that the cinderella flames of the Bob Hartley era.

Have they used 6 goalies so far? Flames used 6 in 98-99 and dressed two others- it would be a tough situation

*shrug*

And yes, female. I wanted to choose "John Wayne Gacy's Girlfriend" as my username but Photon put a stop to that... so I chose his prison number from Anamosa State Prison, 26525. Wonder if anyone predicted that!? Hehe.
