Well, at least we got into the end zone. I was actually thinking that Begelton had been a little too quiet this season. Still finding ways to lose though.

Although I have to say, if we can manage to string together some wins and can grab the crossover, we seem to play the Argos pretty close. Stranger things have happened in the CFL…

At 3-8 there's not much you can say. They are really up against the wall now. Anything less than a sweep against the Elks will probably end their season. This team simply has too many issues. Finally a game where Maier and the receivers ball out and the team is let down by poor defense and special teams play. It's always something getting in the way of the team winning games. It's been a long time since a Stampeders team was as poorly coached as this one is. Maybe there's just too much complacency on this staff and a shakeup is in order. I would be totally fine with the OC of DC shown the door. Killam has probably earned the benefit of the doubt given his special teams units are usually decent. Still he needs to be better down the stretch as special teams has let them down in several games this season.

I feel like the Stamps are a lot closer than some make it seem. Ya 3-8 is rough but have they been dominated and blown away like the Elks? We got lucky to win last week and the Argos are the #1 team in the east at home and it was a razor close game. If the Stamps just ran the ball more and Jake stopped throwing terrible interceptions a little less no reason to think a cross over is anything but a coin flip

Yeah, watching this team they don't look like a 3-8 team. More like a mid, 6-5 / 5-6 team. Been in so many close games and can't seem to close them out, it's been a frustrating season for sure.

That'd be amazing if they can squeeze into the crossover spot for how well they play Toronto, but I'm not holding my breath.

Hamilton upsetting the Lions actually hurts the Stamps chances of making the playoffs. Stamps will have to win that October 30th game head to head.

Just a brutal roughing call against the Redblacks helps the Elks score a touchdown. Should not have been a penalty at all. Of course Edmonton fan boy Dustin Nielson says nothing about it.

Is he making harder throws this game?

When I have watched him previously he was a bit like Maier in that he would throw short routes/hitch passes relying on the receiver making all the yards or wide open deep balls, anytime the receiver wasn't wide open he would tuck and run.

It has been effective against the weak defenses in the league but doesn't seem like it will be sustainable long term.
