You have to take ALL News with a grain of salt, but I bet some of his claims are not far off at all.

He doesnt have a "lollipops and rainbows" view of the world but that doesn't mean he is an idiot.

Come on, are there really people out there who take his nonsense seriously? You've got to be joking, right?

If it was "terrorism" you would think someone would have taken credit. Also, I am sure airlines get these "threats" frequently. There are alot of nutbars out there after all.
Apparently the reports sent by the aircraft computers indicated the autopilot disengaged, followed by a series of electrical malfunctions then a sudden dive towards the ground. Its strange there was no mayday call, unless there was a wiring fire or something similar to Swiss Air 800 that cut out communications and controls.

Haha..........well look at some of the comments on the articles. It appears some people take this VERY seriously.
If you dont follow Alex Jones News and just read a single piece you would think he is crazy..............but if you read his stuff somewhat regularly then you would see how he ties everything together involving current events and how they fit in to a certain political process he is convinced is going on. He has good sources and so forth..............I just find it fascinating..............like what IF he is right??

Even if it wasn't terrorism you would think that some group would claim responsibility for it as it is going to be hard to figure out what actually happened.

Electrical messages could mean anything though.

No mayday doesnt say alot since the pilots first instinct is to get control of the airplane and not radio for help. At least with AA, unless there is imenent landing, pilots are instructed to contact AA mtce for assistance in trying to rememdy the problem.

Also, CNN, FNC, BBC are now reporting the following Reuters report:

"Suddenly, off in the distance, we observed a strong and bright flash of white light that took a downward and vertical trajectory and vanished in six seconds," said the report by the Air Comet pilot."

That could be complete bs, or it could be fact.

http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/americ...ash/index.html
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,525117,00.html
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8083474.stm

To me that would indicate structural damage possibly by faulty engineering, or a small explosion. Remember, an explosion would have to be in the wings, or close enough to tear them open for the plane to "blow up" mid fligth since the wings is where the JetA is held.

A small explosion in the cabin or baggage compartment might show the white light and then cause the plane to rapidly descend.

The fuel is located in the wings. If there was an explosion near or in them the jet fuel would be consumed in the explosion.

I don't know if I was thinking fuel explosion. More like bad fuel stopping the engines.

There are almost 500 departures per day at that airport. Very unlikely althought not something I thought of and while remote, it is a possibility.

There have been instances of contaminated fuel in the past but that would more likely cause a stall of the engines. A pilot should have enough time to radio if the engines stalled and normal procedure for that at least with some arilines is to dump small amounts of fuel while attempting restart

Also, he would have tried to restart them while gliding. It would go against what this Air Comet pilot is saying. He is spanish, so who knows if he is trustworthy or not. Just because women from Spain are hot, doesnt mean the pilots are smart

Wouldn't that be a freaky thing if the plane was hit by something like a meteor or a piece of space junk. Because to fall that fast would require something to be moving supersonic; meaning the white light falling could have been the meteor.

It was a joke based on all the other people saying "not the thread to mention that"...and out of all those people only the first poster to say it was being serious.

Indeed, the French are now sending a SSN submarine to the area to assist in the search.
