I guess when you're an Oiler fan living in Oiler World, good players means stock piling first overalls or very high picks year after year but failing to actually succeed.

Don't know if it's been pointed out yet but in the four games the Flames have worn their 3rd jerseys this year:
- 10/23/15 vs. Red Wings - Gaudreau 2 assists
- 11/07/15 vs. Penguins - Gaudreau 2 goals, 1 assist
- 12/04/15 vs. Bruins - Gaudreau 3 goals, 1 assist
- 12/22/15 vs. Jets - Gaudreau 3 goals
2 hat-tricks and averaging 3 points per game in the 3rd jersey! At this rate let's wear them every game!
A far cry from 13-14 where I think the Flames lost their first 8 or so when they were worn.

I had to laugh, I was at Schanks having a few ummmm spots of tea with some of the other football coaches that I worked with. I looked up in time to see Johnny's second goal and then they zoom in on his brother in the stands who through my tea steamed eyes looks exactly like Johnny, and everything fell into place.
Holy Crap, Johnny is a time traveller, he travelled back in time to tell his alternative self how to score those goals, and then travelled forward to sit in the stands and watch himself scoring those goals while drinking a beer.
That's right people, Johnny has a heightened sense of awareness and hockey IQ, not because he was born with it. But because he's a fricken Time Lord

Flames beat the Jets 4-1. Johnny! Johnny! Johnny!
Does anyone have the stat picture that Sportsnet showed of Dougie, Brodie, Gio and their point production this month or however long it was?

Perreault rolled up on his leg in one of the goalmouth scrambles, and the shoulder into Perreault was shortly thereafter.
I agree though - piss him off early!

Maybe Johnny should wear the 3rd jersey every game despite what the others wear.

He is our leading scorer, it could just be the equivalent of the gold helmet in SEL.

The best part is that doesn't even sound ridiculous, he is trending hard in that direction.

Yeah I don't think anyone slated Johnny to be on pace for a 30+ Goal season. Guess what tho, it's Johnny delivering the unexpected again.

He scored 24 last season while being a rookie suffering from Tanguayitis. For a guy who played like Kane he sure didn't shoot as often as Kane. Now he's shooting.

The craziest part is that he had 1 goal in his first 12 games. In 22 games since then he has scored at 52 goals 82games pace. I don't know if he could ever pull that off but crazy pace.

His shot is probably the most under rated part of his game, because until just recently he always thought pass first.
The fact he's shooting more makes defenders have to respect the shot freeing up more space for his team mates and you know he'll pick them out.
As if he needed to add any more weapons to his game, we're looking at a potential top 5 most dangerous offensive talent shortly. Top 10 easily.

Yeah, I don't think it's too much of a surprise that he is getting his assists, but what I find amazing is how much he is scoring.
He leads his draft class by a fairly wide margin in goals per game:
Gaudreau.: .35
Kucherov..: .29
Landeskog: .28
Jenner......: .27
Saad........: .26
RNH.........: .25
