This season, Gaudreau has played 9 OT shifts in total. He has 4 OT points. From what I remember of the Ottawa game, he was robbed of another point in that one.

The Flames, as a team, were awesome against Chicago. I still can't believe Gaudreau didn't win the rookie of the year for last season. Damn, Johnny's GOOD!

Iggy was a bull in china store elite power forward with an incredible quick release shot. During his run Iggy was one of top pure goal scorers of his era.
Theo was one of the most skilled & gifted players in Flames history. Whether love him or hate him. Theo was incredibly skilled.
Johnny in less than 2 seasons is the most unique skilled players the Flames have been so fortunate to have.
What he can do with his hands is amazing and equals how gifted a skater Johnny is. When he puts his mind in motion to seize the moment he doesn't just make plays vs veterans he makes a fool out of them.

Raymond fit in perfectly with Gaudreau and Monahan. Still had his inevitible once-a-game falling down moment, but had plenty of shots on goal and skated well (and with his shot, every shot is dangerous). The line was around 68% possession tonight at evens. Might wanna experiment with it and see if we can salvage that final year of Mason's deal by actually having him on the roster...

He's got zero hockey sense, and it was super evident this game. The botched 2 on 1 with Monahan, where he should have dished for an easy tap in, but instead goes for some silly looking wrap around and ends up falling behind the net. Then the pass to Johnny up the left side, when Johnny very obviously was going to the right side. And then Johnny's pants dropper against Keith, that should have been a tap in for him.
I was a big fan of bringing him in before, but seeing him day to day has me convinced that the only reason he sticks around in the league is because of his speed and average hands. His lack of hockey sense absolutely astounds me.

While I see that Raymond was quick, was I the only one ?who thought he was hot garbage out there? His missed pass to an open Monahan in the first on the partial 2 on 1, his endless skating that seemed like he was trying too hard, and then his pass from our blue line to Johnny who was skating the entirely other way?

I didn't think he was hot garbage tonight. He has his usual falling down and trying to be to fancy plays of course. He was not the same player overall tho. He had some pretty give and go plays with that line tonight. The one that pops into me head instantly was Monahan passed it to him. And he dropped it back to Johnny hockey who then undressed the hawks d.
Raymond is what he is. He will have his bad plays for sure. Playing him with speedy linemates like tonight shows he is not a total waste of a roster spot. Vancouver played him with Higgins and Hansen ( Not exactly slow players) Toronto played him with Tyler Bozak and Phil Kessel aswell.
It was only one game but It just goes to show no matter who the player is If you play to there strengths they will succeed. Raymond playing on the 4th line with Bollig and Jooris is not going to get him playing his game at all.

Johnny makes everyone look good when you put them on the same line. Flames just need a Kurri-like player who can finish whatever Johnny dishes out.

Sportsnet360 highlight pack. Voice over guy off the top, "not sure if you've watched hockey this year but CALGARY SUCKS." Then on to the highlights,
Even if it's true, you can't be saying that as a professional national broadcater. Brutal.

Even the Hawks don't stand a chance vs the Flames in 3 on 3. Toews/Kane/Keith out and they couldn't touch the puck.
For real though, even since last season, I wouldn't pick any other team over this one going into an overtime. They are just so good at it..

If they still had an all star draft, Johnny would be the #1 pick!

That is a very accurate description of Gaudreau and an apt comparison to Fleury and Iginla.
The IQ , two way commitment and passion gives him every opportunity to be at least as good as either.
Remarkable player.

To think, barring unforeseen circumstances, then next 5 years will include a prime MONAHAN, BENNETT, GAUDREAU, HAMILTON AND BRODIE, and veteran GIO.
We should get anyone we want to play with them.

Odd game of ebbs and flows...1st and 3rd to Flames...2nd to 'Hawks, but the possessions and shots were denied by solid goaltending.
Johnny Hockey's strip of Seabrook was the difference...#7 completely failed to box out #13...fishing for the puck was a huge mistake.
Props to Ramo...Darling stole a point...and T. J. Brodie was an iron man and played in front of your forwards, at times.
There were times that Hartley got caught with your 4th line or 3rd pair against Panarin/AA/Kane...but Ramo rose to the rescue.
Good game for your guys...we 'Hawk fans can't be too upset about 3 points in the 2 road games, so far in the "Circus trip" I will be MUCH more pissed if we allow the Canucks a point tomorrow.
I am looking forward to the next H2H with your guys...and, as you are in sniffing distance of a playoff spot, a playoff matchup is a possibility, to boot.
'Gratz to you and your guys...a well earned 2 points.

Just finished the game after playing a couple soccer games myself. Great game by the team as a whole, and let me echo everyone else with DAMN Gaudreau is ridiculous. That goal was soooo dirty. It's a real privilege get to watch him play every game.

Will be a great day when Gaudreau surpasses Kane at every facet of the game.
Hope he got a good glimpse tonight.

I thought he played much better than usual but still a huge drop off from Monahan and gaudreau. I would really like to see Ferland on that line cause he brings speed, size, physicality, a heavy shot, and very good hands. Honestly believe he could thrive there given enough time to adjust to an increased role.

I think Ferland will play his way on to that line this year in time. It is his first year as a regularly scheduled to play player right out of training camp. Hartley seems ro ease people in at the beginning of each season.

Gaudreau was Gaudreau. Incredible.
Monahan was really good tonight. Looks like he's back.
Ramo solid again. Really nice to see.
Brodie is elite. I'll say it because I believe it.
But most importantly I think it's safe to say that the Dougie Hamilton we all expected at the beginning of the year has arrived. What a complete 180 this guy has done since the start of the season.

Easily the best game of the season so far. Many good sides to that game and the finish was just mind-bottlingly good!

Very surprised by the Flames out playing the Hawks. Not at all surprised by Gaudreau in OT. Holy god damn that was a sexy goal!

There was a move TJ made in the 3rd about the 10min mark where he banked the puck off the boards and spun off a defender, and then picked the puck back up!! If someone can pull that GIF it was pretty awesome move.
