God the CFL is brutal. Watching the refs hand the Riders this game is pathetic

It's definitely safe to say these two teams don't like each other.

The percentage of plays in the CFL that have penalties called vs the NFL must be astounding. Most CFL teams probably average the same number of penalties per quarter as NFL teams take in a game.

Did you factor in the gods deciding it'd be fun to fumble the ball?

That extra 3 points is huge now. Otherwise the Als are going for the tie.

Or the win on a 2 pt convert, given Sask's defence.

Man they suck...

Montreal can be a dirty team sometimes, got away with a lot of calls.

Bogus penalties called on both teams. People blaming wins and losses on the refs in any sport is laughable.

Finally a win for the Riders. Next week is going to be a great game!

Why? If a ref makes a horrible call at a key point during a game it could affect the outcome.

Yes, but no game is ever won or lost on these plays. There's always another play to redeem yourself, the players win and lose the games, not the refs.

That was not pass interference in the end zone if you are wondering, defender had his position, the receiver ran into him. Just using that as an example of a good call.

Every team gets away with stuff. The Stamps got away with so much yesterday that made that game closer than it was. To say only one team gets away with it is narrow minded IMO.

Are you kidding? The Stamps got screwed yesterday. The Stampeders are the only team in the league that can't hit a QB after he releases the ball without getting a roughing the passer call. Officials seem to call PI on the Stamps whenever they are close to a receiver while Riders DB's can mug the receiver and not get a call. That one in the end zone today was one of the worst no-calls I've ever seen in a football game ever.

Wow, overreaction much? A receiver cannot run through a defender to get to the ball. If a defender has position (which he did) he has as much right to the ball as the receiver. If it was the DB running through the receiver then absolutely its a penalty. In the end this play had zero bearing on the game anyways.

As for yesterday, the Stamps were caught tackling receivers. Its when they're getting away with facemasks and horsecollars that the real questions should arise. Morley hits the QB way late when he blitzes. He needs to be reeled in a bit, he is a fantastic player when he plays within the rules.

EDIT: In the end the fact is that people will always feel like their team never gets the breaks and that every other team can get away with so much more, especially their rivals. The refs missed a facemask on Durant today that should have been called. I feel like the Genekowski hit shouldn't have been flagged. Its football, the refs are human. However they really need to fix their consistency. Its pretty bad. I do not feel like there is a conspiracy against any one team or in favour of anyone. If so I would have to say its the Stamps

If the CFL doesn't his suspend thug a88 for that eye-gouging incident, something is seriously wrong with the CFL as it was an attempt to an injury a player. That was beyond idiotic what the clown did. Seeing him getting burnt like toast earlier in the game never gets old too.
