I don't follow the basketball too much but I had to randomly show up and say that I love that THE ohio state managed to blow a goat again. Sorry institution, despicable athletic program and generally the lowest of the low when it comes to universities. GO BLUE!

Love that UNC Tar Heels is still alive.

How about them VCU? They will Kansas this weekend. So, Eight teams left:

UNC(2) vs Kentucky(4)
Kansas(1) vs VCU(11)
Butler(8) vs Florida(2)
UConn(3) vs Arizona(5)

Bolded will be my picks.
VCU is a great story, and they deserve to be where they are, but I've seen them play enough to know that they have no answer for the Morris twins. Tyshawn Taylor and Josh Selby, two bigger point guards, will neutralize some of Rodriguez' effectiveness off the drive as well.
KU will win easily, IMO.

I like Kentucky to beat UNC rather easily as well.

Butler/Florida is an interesting game. I tend to think Florida will win, but I wouldn't be surprised if Butler did.

UConn/Arizona will be the best Elite Eight game by far. My gut tells me UConn wins it.

Man I suck at brackets...I couldn't even win if I went perfect the rest of the way. Pretty awesome tournament for the most part and glad to see a ton of upsets, that's what it's all about!

I missed a couple games last night...did they mention anything about tickets for 2012 going on sale?

Wow, another upset!! Butler Bulldogs just defeated the Florida State University Gators in OT. Are we getting another upset tomorrow with VCU winning against Kansas. It might be a tough one though.

As for Butler game, I thought FSU made some bad decisions a few times especially when it counts. On the regular period, I have no idea why they go for 3-pointers instead of going for a win. On OT, they did it again going for a bad 3-pointers and missed. This is what I love about the NCAA March Madness, the upsets. I am hoping for another Cinderella team in Virginia Commonwealth University.

Another dandy finish. UConn defeated Arizona by 65-63. I don't understand why Arizona went for a win instead of OT by going for 3-pointer twice. They could have give the ball to DWillams for a 2-pointer to tie the game.

Some BCS program is going to throw a LOT of coin at Brad Stevens. I hope he stays at Butler. What an incredible coaching job he's done.

Just an FYI...that is incorrect. University of Florida and Florida State are 2 different schools...tonights game was U of Florida.

I think its fair to say he is the best coach in the country now considering that he has his team in back to back final 4's and simply doesnt have the recruiting abilities other schools have...nevermind the actual on court talent. He really is remarkable and such a nerdy lookin dude to boot!

Arizona's team 3 point percentage this year is 39.7 and their 2 point percentage is 51. If you make that 50% shot you still only have another 50% chance to win the game in OT. So it's essentially a 25% to 39.7% chance. Also, I always found 3's easier to offensive rebound.

In summary, I think the guy court-side got it right.

How about VCU? Geez, this team is unreal.

Because these two teams are clearly terrible and can't put together an incredible game

I think she means TV ratings, not quality of game. Small market, lesser known teams tend to not draw in the #'s like the big name ones.

I still think they should go for an easy shot by DWilliams to go to OT. You just mentioned the team's percentage this year is 39.7% and chances of winning in OT is 50%. Don't you think their chances of winning is better in going to OT than 3 pointer. To me that's just it just makes so much sense to go for a better percentage especially with a player like DWilliams who can shoot outside or drive to the basket. That's just bad decision on their part.

My bad. You are right it wasn't the FSU that lost to Butler it was the Univesity of Florida Gators.

Two great games yesterday with Butler and UConn winning. I missed the VCU win this morning and so far my team University of NC Tar Heels is losing to Kentucky. But lots of time still.
