Damn Neeps I haven't checked out this thread in sometime...just some fantastic work. Too many wedding photos fall under two categories:
- Too plain jane/expected
- Too funky for the sake of being funky.

You seemed to have found the right balance though. How many of the shots do you set up vs. trying to find the candid moments?

Neeper,

Just stellar. I try to see myself as a photographer but my shots don't hold a candle to yours.

Great done and great site...love the portfolio.

Thanks for all the comment guys. I am shooting another wedding this weekend. Check back for more.

Jiri, I try to shoot as many candid moments as possible. But, I'll admit, most of my shots are setup. I just know what will look good through the lens.

Any of you work for a company that has a big Christmas Party coming up? If you need a photographer at your party, please PM me! I'm booking them as of now.

I got a portfolio uploaded on my site. I really would like to hear some feedback. I will be using this to advertise my work.

Man dude your stuff is just fantastic. The more I see the more impressed I am.

The one suggestion I would have for the site overall is to get some of your best shots right on the home page. Your best selling point is your work...so show it right away. A series of rotating images of your absolute best shots, or a strip of them somewhere on the home page would immediately establish your talent and your credibility.

With the right shots, you may not even need any copy on that front home page (a picture says 1,000 words right) - save that stuff for the About Me section (which I very much like btw as a way of talking about your passion for the craft).

It's all about showcasing the wonderful work you do...so put that wonderful work at the centre and forefront of the site.

I still have dates open this year if anyone is planning a last minute wedding or is a real procrastinator.

Man, I'm jealous, the Brent and Clare set are great in so many ways:
- "photo journalist" feel
- nice soft focus
- excellent candids
- great light
- different points of view
- great locations

When I see shots like this I realize I have lots to learn when it comes to taking photos. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the complements. I love shooting in a photojournalistic way. When I shoot, I imagine I'm making a movie and telling a story but with stills.

In the apparently unlikelihood I end up getting married, you are at the top of the list Neeper. Amazing work. Anytime a friend needs a photographer, I'll be sure you are mentioned as an option.

I wanted to give an Autumn feel for this couple's engagement photos. Their wedding is later this month.
