				 Ring entrance music...

What are some of the best songs to enter the UFC/boxing ring to? I need a ring entrance song as I am competing in my first amateur boxing bout in November!
It's a white collar boxing show, so the production will be very professional including ring entrance music, ring names etc. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Phil Collins - In The Air Tonight
You make everyone wait, then you come out at the 3:41 part in the song when the drums get really loud, have the lights flickering on and off (like lightning) and at the same time have your hands really high in the air when you enter. Then when you get in the ring you punch to the rythem of the drums....not that I have ever thought about it

I always thought that ring entrances are pretty personal. It would depend on what your fight preparation is. Do you like to come into the ring pumped or relaxed? I wouldn't really care what the crowd thinks. It's your job to entertain them in the ring. On the way to the ring you can play the chicken dance song if that floats your boat.

Now that would be priceless, however you would have to do the dance on the way down.

I am with you on this, it should be something that will prepare you for the fight. Thats why mine is so thought out because it would get me relaxed and ready to go. Plus I have been prearing and practicing it for friends on drunken nights so I got it down.

During my first year of university, I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to develop a method to play entrance music whenever I entered a room. I thought that would be pretty cool and totally get me the ladies.

Throw them off with some cheezy 80s music. Imagine the ring announcer calling at your name as you make your way down the alley while Rick Astley sings "Never Gonna Give You Up.
Your opponent wouldn't know what to make of it.

you wait until the big baseline kicks in after about a minute, fireworks go off green smoke.....in high school i thought about this A LOT. In fact I thought that my wrestling name would be "poison" and i would be in a tag team with sting.

If your opponent goes out first then play a song that will depress him. I would find a song that got me pumped up if I was going out to fight.
By chance if the match is in Edmonton then come out to Billy Ray Cyrus "I want my mullet back"
