		| Despite claims by individuals to the contrary, physical beauty is the key trait men look for, according to research by Indiana University cognitive scientist Peter Todd. Women, on the other hand, are choosier but tend to pick men who can offer material wealth and security that is on par with how the women perceive their own attractiveness. |

Speed dating is where men and women have a number of "mini-dates" that last only a few minutes, giving them only a short time to decide whether they would like to go on a proper date with that person. |

			Talk about ground breaking research.
I like how the article actually explains speed dating.

			So if looks are everything...
...and looks are controlled by "number of beers drunk"...

...does that mean "beer is everything?"

 YAY BEER!

Contrary to what the article says physical beauty was never the key trait i was looking for. The personality and inner beauty was far more important to me.

			Nothing new here....
Even if you are drawn to personality and "inner beauty", if you find the person repulsive, or at least "unattractive", odds are you're not looking at them as a mate, but as a friend.

Money however is a great equalizer... which again is no surprise. Men are typically too superficial to be drawn to money (or other positive qualities) alone, while women in their search to find a suitable mate, does substitute money (and other positive qualities) for ass-ugliness...

That would be bad guess. A better guess is that I, like Table, enjoy having intercourse with women. You have to get inside of her to check out her inner beauty don't you? It's fun, I'm sure you could afford to try it a time or two.

		| Of course, many women will argue that the reason they become obsessed with trying to look like Cindy Crawford is that men, being as shallow as a drop of spit, WANT women to look that way. To which I have two responses:

 1. Hey, just because WE'RE idiots, that doesn't mean YOU have to be; and

 2. Men don't even notice 97 percent of the beauty efforts you make anyway. Take fingernails. The average woman spends 5,000 hours per year worrying about her fingernails; I have never once, in more than 40 years of listening to men talk about women, heard a man say, ''She has a nice set of fingernails!'' Many men would not notice if a woman had upward of four hands.

Anyway, to get back to my original point: If you're a man, and a woman asks you how she looks, you're in big trouble. Obviously, you can't say she looks bad. But you also can't say that she looks great, because she'll think you're lying, because she has spent countless hours, with the help of the multibillion-dollar beauty industry, obsessing about the differences between herself and Cindy Crawford. Also, she suspects that you're not qualified to judge anybody's appearance. This is because you have shaving cream in your hair.

Looks can also fade. For example your wife (not suggesting you) is disfigured in a car accident. Does this mean you drop/divorce her because she's no longer attractive?

Still not to say that the first attraction is NOT a result of outer beauty.

I honestly believe every single male is that way. Only thing, our definition of outer beauty varies between all of us.

While some women are that shallow, not all women are. "Can't buy me love" and all that.

Of course outer beauty is part of the equation. How much emphasis people put on this varies from person to person. For me it wasn't high on my priority list. Morals, values and personality were of great importance to me. For the simple reason that beauty can fade and a relationship needs more than the outer beauty to survive.

Well no, but to suggest that women are willing to trade money for looks is not necessarily true. I'm not a 10 and I don't expect to find a 10 in my bed anytime soon. But let's say I'm a 7... I'm not likely to take a 3 if he has money. Even if he offered, you wouldn't ever find me in Donald Trump's bed, that's for sure. Sure he's got money, but he's an ugly, pompous ass too. That's not a tradeoff I'm willing to make.
