Yeah, Vicky is playing very well as is Muchova, the rub of the green is going to the Czech player thus far.

Meanwhile Korda follows arguably the match of his career with a three set loss to the 151 ranked player in the world in Martin Landaluce. Talk about highs and lows.

Fritz losing to Lehecka is an upset as far as the rankings are concerned, but Fritz still is dealing with a wonky knee and these conditions are exactly what Lehecka enjoys.

Bah, Vicky loses in straight set 7-5 7-6 to Muchova. Also, I strongly disagree with the commentator, I didn't like the drop shot at all on match point.

It was a risky play on match point but I will say it wasn't a terrible drop shot that sat up and more that Muchova made a great play to hustle to the net and put the ball down the line just over the net. A QF result is still pretty positive as her best tennis is still ahead of her.

I just don't like in a sense giving up control of the point to your opponent and Muchova is excellent up at the net. To use a baseball analogy, you should go with your best pitch. Maybe Vicky thought she would surprise her with the dropper, so in that sense it wasn't a bad choice, but i would have preferred to see her working the point more and hoping for a short ball from Muchova.

Bottom line, Vicky is playing great tennis, so excited to see what the future has in store for her.
