I think the Ras and Weegar trade trees will work out like the Markstom, Lindholm, trade trees have

No one discussed draft picks or contracts; the question was which one would you want long term.

Maata already came with 3 2nds and a short contract that might be flipped. Agsin the fact the numbers are close is just an exclaimation mark.

It's a very simple thought experiment, no idea why you're struggling so much with it.

Considering that Vegas could have kept Whitecloud and their picks, waited till summer, and signed Andersson as a UFA (since he clearly wanted to play there)… yes, 20 games is extremely significant. It’s over half of what was left on the contract they acquired the rights to.
The point of the trade was to help Vegas win this season. That really hasn’t worked out for them.

Nine poor sample size, 20 good sample size. Got it. Had no idea the season was over either.

Nine games out of a multi-year contract = poor sample size.
Twenty games out of a contract that expires after 30-odd games = very good sample size.
The ratio between the sample size and population size means something.

Some of you are having two different discussions and switching when it's convenient.

Well if they win the cup the Flames get another first
If they dont Vegas will have failed
Conroy nailed it

Lol says the guy who injected Weegar and Maata into the Rasmus thread for no reason. You are struggling to find faults with obvious Flames wins
Vegas traded for a rental and they are lucky to be in a playoff spot because Seattle, LA, and SJ have also sucked. They might make it, they arent winning ####

Switching when it's convenient is the key to that post. We're talking about the players, not the deals themselves. I think both deals are huge wins for the Flames and have said so many times. I wish you wouldn't get confused so easily or be so sensitive about a persons fandom.

I’m not switching anything. I only came in to point out that 20 games out of a total of less than half a season is a very large sample — a point you haven’t addressed or even acknowledged.

People can pretend like Devils fans did with Markstom but neither dman the Flames traded has been anything special so far and the toss ins have been basically the same.
Maybe just maybe those guys were inflated by big minutes on a bad team

That was a very wise quick edit, dino. The last paragraph is dripping with irony however, especially coming from you
Jay Randomly, twenty games is a poor sample size regardless of the situation surrounding it.

I decided to remove the insults....you should consider doing the same
Im right though...Ras isnt a huge upgrade for Vegas. Certainly not enough to put them over. Like what exactly is your point? He hasnt worked out there so far. Athletic had an article about it today. Flames homers!
FYI their coach started him on the 3rd pair not me...sorry for reporting relevant information

I don't think the differences between Weegar/Maatta and Andersson/Whitecloud are nearly enough to justify what Vegas and Utah gave up for them
