...and in March 2026 a certain basement builder gets inspired by it.
This one's a warm up for that giant cross-section of HMS Victory I picked up in the fall. Had this mini-Victory kit in the stash for ages, and the sea chest was there for even longer (just waiting for the right project). Kit is out of the box with the exception of the sails, and standard material for the sea surface. Chest has been bolted in place so it won't slam shut and do what the French navy couldn't and destroy the flagship. Gets the eyes ready for all the rigging that's to come:
