With the news that greasepiggies are staying on ched, they must have decided to have the shortest post game show ever now.
Even backup whine baby station 1260 bailed on the postgame!
Where’s the fun in that?
Also, no good!

Wouldn’t it just be poetic if they miss the playoffs in the last game of the season by losing to the last place Canucks? One can dream

Second last game for them is against Colorado. Kadri capping it would also be fun. The Edmonton journalist that pees in sinks was pretty bitter when we traded Kadri there.

I hope Colorado puts up double digits that night, and we get multiple jersey throws to really cap it off!

Serves Spector right. He was on 960 a few days ago throwing shade on the Barnburner guys and the Flames saying Oilers and their fans don't care about the Flames as they are a bad team rebuilding but they care about beating the Panthers. First of all they should care because the Oilers lost the season series against the Flames and second of all the team that Oilers and fans supposedly care about beating, still owns them. I've never seen a journalist with so many comments and articles that age as poorly as his. He would be better off writing the 180 slant from his feelings as that's what typically comes to fruition.

The thing about Spector....and Stauffer for that matter, is that both of them will state/write (and then defend) things that they themselves dont even believe. It happens repeatedly.
Staples is worse but he is so daft that he may actually believe the nonsense.
there is just NO integrity in that area of Edmonton media and people have just accepted it as par for the course because its been goimg on so long.
Its fascinating when you think about it.

I’ve always wondered how they let Spector in the room. The guy has no integrity and has had spats with just about every noteworthy player over the years.

Not that I'm making excuses, but Edmonton journalists have to tow the line or Katz will make their jobs difficult as it's pretty well forced propaganda on Edmonton airwaves. He listens to Stauffer's radio show and at times will call in on the red phone if he doesn't like where the conversation is going. He had Spector removed from RSN broadcast intermissions for being overly critical.

12 games left for the Coilers, sitting at 77 points. 0.500 gets them to 89 points, probably won’t do it for playoffs. A couple more losses and reality will start to set in.

I am shocked, after they beat the juggernaut that is the Sharks without pissy, i assumed they would run the table and be unbeatable. who could have forseen this shutout.

I'm not so sure 89 points doesn't win them the division. Worst division in hockey ever. Anaheim is the only Pacific team that has won more games than they've lost - and they've only managed to win 22 of 68 in regulation.
When there were 5 teams in a division, the SE was won with a 94 points twice. Since they changed to 8 teams, it's never been done with less than 100 points. Anaheim is on pace for 94.

Looking at the standings, the odds heavily favor them getting into the playoffs unless they go on a prolonged losing streak as the Kraken, Sharks, and Predators have to make up 6 points which isn't easy in a league where even the worst team in the league by far gets points in 4 out of every 10 games.

The worst team in the league gets points in 4 out of 10 games over the course of the season, but not 4 out of every 10 games. For instance, the Golden Knights have 7 regulation losses in their last 10 games. So there's definitely a chance.
