I always assumed the guards were paid off but $5k sounds absurdly cheap although it's less suspicious than say a $25k deposit. I'm kind of surprised that they could cover up this up so easily as it doesn't appear to be a masterclass of an assassination. The camera miscues and the actual footage that was there supposedly edited and missing some content. Throw in sleeping guards and it's all just way too convenient.

Yeah maybe that's all it would take but I would have to think that several people in the prison were involved and clearly these guards aren't exactly the swiftest individuals. You would think that with some quality investigating that you could turn up something or have someone crack. That said, coming forward may be dangerous to the health of yourself and family.

If there is 1 conspiracy theory I'm in on it's this one, I'd bet everything on Trump having Epstein killed to cover up his child rape.

I think Trump is too cowardly for this. He may have been in on the discussion and support it, but I suspect the operation was directed by any number of other powerful people also in fear, but with more balls to do it. You know, Russians, Isrealis, Clintons.

First thing I thought too.
$5K? Dude...if you're gonna kill a guy at least get PAID! My God.
If you're going to murder a rich dude at least get 'retirement cash' for it.

If I was a rich guy trying to pay to kill someone, I would WANT to pay the hitman retirement money. I don’t want some jaded low-level criminal who can blow up my universe.

Who else did do it, then? They're really the only ones with unfettered access to the inmates and the premises. Not like Agent 47 waltzed in, stole a guard disguise, used an emetic on the Gatorade of the guard working the security camera room, killed the surveillance system for that area, then changed into an inmate disguise and strung Epstein up, then changed back into street clothes and escaped out the visitors entrance.
Also, a cash deposit? These people are stupid as hell.

You’d still need to pay me WAYYYY more than that. That’s what, a months pay? Maybe 2?
Unless they found some people who they can basically blackmail into taking so little. Which is possible.

If there was a murder, the evidence indicates broken vertebrae, which is often a sign of strangulation. I can't imagine a random prison guard agreeing to violently murder someone for $5k.....Maybe $500k.
Even if it's a case of looking the other way, who risks their job for $5k.

More than $5000

The files only contain Noel’s bank records beginning in December 2018. They show seven cash deposits totaling $11,880. Noel started working at the Special Housing Unit — where Epstein had been held — beginning on July 7, 2019, just weeks before his death.
Noel, who drove a $62,000 2019 Land Rover Range Rover, wasn’t asked about the cash during her DOJ interview, records showed.

Epstein paid for a conference of top scientists in 2006. His motives are now clear
|
Quote:
|
The 2006 Virgin Islands conference illustrates how Epstein used philanthropy to build relationships with scientists and academic institutions. NPR spoke to scientists and searched through the Department of Justice documents on Epstein to understand how he built his network of prominent scientists. Epstein's interests spanned fields including theoretical physics, evolutionary biology and computer science, and he funded conferences, research programs and individual scientists.
|
Quote:
Guth said that during the conference, Epstein "was around but was really quite inconspicuous. He did not act as a host. He acted as a bystander."However, "we probably never saw him without three or four young women," Guth said.
"I think we did kind of laugh about it," he said. "We thought it was rather odd."
Peebles attended the conference with his wife. He vividly recalls a coffee break between talks at the Ritz where he and others "noticed several young women, maybe five, maybe 10," who seemed out of place. "Several of us asked each other, 'What are they doing here?'"
"I can only tell you they were younger than the youngest women in our meeting," he told NPR. "Were they 15 or 30? I have no idea."
