the 1st round: Avs 2027 1st sent to Toronto in Nic Roy trade is top 10 protected. If Colorado has to send 2028 to Toronto instead, Flames get 2029 unprotected 1st.

Really nice deal, I was anticipating a Panarin or Marchand kind of return because of the contract and NTC situation, but no Conroy did very nicely. Also happy Olofsson is a UFA, he can try to pump his stock here but we don't need more Sharangovich-likes past this year.
I'm just glad it's not Montreal. They have spent the past month blabbing to all the insiders how they don't like Kadri's contract to depress his trade value. And all their prospects are the best prospects ever, all untouchable, we have to take their cap dump Laine. Instead, they get nothing. Enjoy!

You must be new here. Go back maybe 100 posts when the rumor that the first Kadri trade attempt was squashed because Flames wouldn't retain and read the meltdowns despite multiple people showing that the Flames have shown they aren't against retaining.
