I'd cheer a team icing a line of Hitler, Pol Pot and Stalin against the Oilers.
Stalin wouldn't be playing. He'd find a way to make himself the referee.

More like Stalin would find someone to stand-in for him, and take credit for the goals and wins!
Then he would have his stand-in shot so he couldn't talk.

I wasn't a fan of this trade when it was announced, but the trade tree on this must look insane. We basically turned Sven Baertschi into years of Rasmus and now, potentially very productive, multiple assets.

With the way Vegas, i think the division is up for grabs, which means that Hanifin pick is getting better. At this point I'll gladly take the 28 2nd pick if it means the 26th and 27th are around 20.
So now that it is starting to appear that the 2027 1st has at least a 50/50 chance of being a lottery pick (given how poor of a team Vegas has) and the 2028 pick could be top 40 is this trade getting better?

20? I'm hoping for 16th this year!
Just need SEA or SJ to go on a run and knock VGK out of the playoffs
I also wonder if there is a reduced chance that Rasmus signs there. Doesn't seem like it's been a great fit so far.
Feels a little like the Elias deal in terms of the value Calgary got, and the growing potential that he doesn't sign there.
Yes. I think one of the big thing detractors were saying is giving them Andersson would impact the Hanifin 2026 pick. I think at the time of the trade it was assumed they would be the division winner and the 2026 would at best be 28. Seeing how things have unfolded to date, currently sitting at 18. I would gladly take that instead of the conditional 1st in 28. Really with their struggles and the coming of age from the California teams, their '27 will likely be in the same range. At that point the 2nd in '28 is just the cherry on top.

I hope he doesn't. I would rather him move to an eastern team so I could cheer for him. Screw the Knights.

Boston would seem like the obvious choice, but then again, seems like things fell apart there and perhaps there are hard feelings.
Does BT recruit him to the Leafs?
Detroit?
CBJ given his ties to the Gaudreaus and some other ex Flames there?
Those are the ones that come to mind for me.
