Wonder with Murray being in town to entertain Bettman whether he's finally embraced the re-build and gave the go ahead for this trade. If so, I bet Coleman and Kadri go this week also...
Edwards has been on board for a while now

I think this has been leaked out to put pressure on Weegar in part due to the fact that Utah is not a particularly desirable market to live or play in, despite its shiny new toy status.

As someone who understands this process, this is quite the blunder that it's taken this long to get clarity on whether the player will waive NTC for Utah. Or EF jumped the gun.
Maybe, but if Conroy found his deal and Weeger is non-committed perhaps he feels the need to put his feet to the fire. Weegar is clearly interested in leaving and likely has preferred destinations, but if they aren’t offering a solid return Conroy has to use all of his tools to try to get this one done. I would imagine Weegar may be a bit miffed if this is the case, but sometimes management can’t be your friend.
I think Weegar is the kind of guy who would want to be part of the group that brings the first ever playoffs/cup to Utah. I could definitely see him going. Still hate that this is public
Do you really think they will be that much worse without Weegar?
Yes I do think that is a distinct and realistic possibility. We are going to be digging pretty deep into the inexperienced or junk pile to field a roster that resembles NHL quality.

I don't think public shaming is a tactic that Conroy would employ. That would reflect very poorly on the organization.

Weegar really seems to like it here too. Most on here are Calgarians who (presumably) like the city and being here. It would be hard decision to just have this dropped on you when you have the final say.

Doesn't seem like Conroy's MO as a player's manager. Would be fascinating if this is actually the case.

I would hope this isn’t the case and our organization is better then that.

Is it possible that Weegar is talking with the Mammoth’s ownership and management right now, and they’re trying to convince him to join the club? Maybe that’s what’s causing the delay.

I don't think so.
If anything that would make Weegar more likely to decline.
