Not entirely untrue, it’s hard to explore any vaguely political or social topic on there without scrolling past some pretty wild extreme far right stuff.

But a post depicting people who want the Epstein files closed as a sinister cabal of jews who control the world is high-grade anti-semitism.

That isn't the first time I've seen posts on CP implying that Jews secretly run the world pass unremarked by posters who normally don't hesitate to fling around accusations of fascist and nazi. It's curious. But then anti-semitism has always found fertile ground on both the far left and far right.

I'm confident if I posted something as blatantly racist targetting Indigenous or Black identifies in the Canadian politics thread it would get ####loads of reaction within hours, if not minutes.

Epstein's activities would never have gotten such traction with QAnon if his name was James Edwards. Conspiratorial beliefs correlate strongly with anti-Semitism. People diving into the world of Epstein conspiracies should bear that in mind. If you find yourself engaging with someone who says you can't trust the coverage in the Economist because it's owned by the Rothschilds, back away slowly.

I’m just not sure why you’re trying to make this about QAnon, or now the far left, or turning around at pointing fingers at “the board” that regularly calls out, mocks, or ignores this same poster for this same history of posts.

And yes, it is anti-semitic, and as I just pointed out to you, it’s a step further in that the poster is sharing the opinions of a neo-Nazi. That whole account is littered with white victimhood, blaming Jews, Black people, etc. Dig a little deeper Cliff, it’s worse than you think.

If anything it’s dumb to ignore so much but pick this one thing to jump on and immediately suggest it didn’t get a reaction because everyone is anti-semitic. I can’t speak for anyone else, but my ad blocker blocks twitter previews as well, so I physically did not see that post and did not think it’d be worth looking at considering the poster. I only did because you quoted it, then looked up what “goyim” meant, and then cruised through the account to find it wasn’t just anti-semitism but full blown Nazi stuff. He seems like an F-ing idiot. He kept detailed records to blackmail other people, with no consideration that the same communications would be used against him. He did this even after being convicted of soliciting underage girls and being put on the sex offender registry.
