Since Dec 9th, after getting spanked by the Flames, Buffalo has ... wait for it ...
the BEST RECORD in the NHL.
They are a staggering 24 - 5 - 2 in their last 31 games.
If there was EVER a team that should push chips into the middle, it is this year's Buffalo Sabres.

Hanley and Lomberg are 2 guys I would target for playoff depth because their reputation around the league as great teammates is equally if not more important. The may not play as acquired depth, but no doubt they'll help a locker room.
Remember all the overwhelmingly positive comments that came from the Stars organization after we picked up Hanley?
