On After Burner one day I believe Scorpion brought up that the Flames rarely make a trade while they are on the road.
This was a stat going back years and years if I remember correctly. Every trade for like a decade has been while at home.

You'd have to go all the way back to January 18th 2026 for the last time the Flames trade on a Sunday.

I don't recall ever saying the Flames don't make deals on Sundays.
They certainly don't tend to make deals on the road, though.

That was a bit of a unique situation. They played Andersson for negotiating purposes. Andersson even said Boston went quiet for a few days, so Calgary kept playing him to send a message that until they sign the deal, he’s a flame.
Could happen again but then it suggests that a deal isn’t done.
