All these provincial tax cuts just tell me how much winning the UCP has been doing for us. Yay UCP!

Alberta has a serious mis/disinformation problem. People won't listen to facts, just bull#### propaganda by the bull#### propaganda fascist party.
We can't solve this province's issues with an election because the voters are too uninformed.
We are living in an idiocracy

Golden years in AB are gone. Time to implement a pst and health care premiums again. Spending is out of whack.

It's okay, oil is gonna spike up now. Is it too late for the budget or can we still cash in during the mid east war?

Spending is not out of whack,
We have a taxation problem. Go look at our favourable demographics and low per capita spending. This is a revenue problem.

UCP Spending is definitely out of whack.
Even if there is a revenue problem, our money is not going to any of the things it is supposed to be going to as they embezzle and skim us for all we're worth.
Increasing revenue while these white collar criminals known as the UCP have access to our money will not resolve the problem.

There has never been a country at any point in time where even 25% of people had any idea of how the system worked.
If anything people are wildly more informed now than at any other point in time. Marginal taxes and municipal tax rates are somehow beyond a startling amount of peoples understanding. You can't honestly expect them to intelligently talk about more complex ideas.

Take away a large revenue line item like oil royalties (most states or provinces don't have) and the AB would be broke.

If there was no oil and gas, so no royalties, the population would probably be a quarter of what it is.

Yes. Because our income taxes are too low and no sales tax. Our spending isn't very different than other provinces, but HOW we generate our revenue is.

Why I mentioned a sales tax is needed to start. But it's like everything - all needs to be restructured to support the basics - which are fundamental services versus all the other bull.

Like $1.75 billion in payments to coal companies due to incompetence?

Yup. Stupid deals. Stupid committees.
The government should only provide basics. Water. Health. Education. Etc.

Yes, I know more than 90-95% of people. That's not even something to brag about. 80% of people know nothing.
But again, it's likely higher knowledge than at any other point in history. This is just how the world is.
