It was 4-2 for the no goods at the start of the 3rd.

I guess when Leon said everyone had to be better, he forgot about himself. -3 tonight including some highlight reel keystone cops play with nurse on the 6th goal. Gauthier was right beside “everyone but me” but I’m thinking it was knobby’s fault. Or Coffey’s.

Also shouts for the jets v Canucks 3 pointer.

Haha, stupid Oilers! That was some sweet Paul Coffey defence tonight from the grease pigs.

They'd be in the 2nd wild card spot by point percentage with three teams behind them with games in hand that can overtake them. If any of those teams go on a winning streak and the Oilers go another losing streak, they are probably out of the playoffs.

I've noticed that they don't seem to take many phone calls from the fans after losses anymore. Just seems to be the suck up media with all kinds of excuses.

Katz’s right forearm is sore today after watching a throwback 6-5 game. Immediately on the phone with Stan ordering him to bring in another top 6 forward to get the 7-6 outcome instead.

Went to sleep with the Oil up by 2, wake up to an Oil loss to the Ducks. 2017 playoff vibes. I like it.

I think we're seeing the downfall of the Oilers finally. If they miss this year, I could see McD pulling the plug.

The have no cap to improve the team without gutting the bottom 6 again, swapped out a suspect goalie for another one with term. Unless Bowman can get creative and find deals for Nurse, Mango and Frederic - I cant see how they can bring in decent players.

If I am SJ, I want the Oilers 2027 unprotected for the off chance McDavid forces a trade this summer.

I have no idea how they convinced themselves that Jarry was an upgrade in net.
Incompetence.

Knob was true to his word that McDavid wouldn't play 23 or 24 minutes coming back from the Olympics. He only played 22:02.

For fun, I looked at the goal visualizer on NHL.com for the Anaheim goals.

2-2 goal, Mavi doing exactly nothing, covering no one in the defensive zone.

4-3 goal, Mavi way behind the play, but still gets back to the crease, where he's doing exactly nothing to pay attention to where the puck is, or who is around him.

Bowman is incredibly terrible as a GM. Connor gives them a discount and he spends the extra cash on a 7x7 for Walman, 8 year deal for Frederic, and the Mangiapane deal. Just horrible spend.

The 2 most relieving parts of the spring will be post draft lottery to see where the Flames pick and when the Oilers are eliminated.

Alright, back to disliking McDavid... this feels more natural. I love how the Oilers constantly think goaltending is their problem - they're going to turn on Jarry very soon. Yet it's obvious to everyone that goaltending is not the problem, Skinner is looking a lot better in Pit. They are a horribly composed team. They can't draft worth #### to shore up any weaknesses - and then when they actually manage to draft well, they lose the players to offer sheets... How inept of an organization do you have to be to completely squander the best 1-2 punch at centre in the league? If they even had a mediocre supporting cast they'd have probably won a couple of cups by now.
