How about this:
To Colorado:
Kadri (20% retained)
To Calgary:
2027 1st round pick (top 5 protected)
2027 2nd round pick

TSN Insider trading:
https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/video/2026/02...lay-wednesday/
renewed trade interest in Elias Petterson, but no offers to this point
Canes, Lightning, Stars have inquired on Evander Kane
Shouldn't be a high cost with the Canucks potentially retaining half salary
Leafs have a plan for McMann and Laughton
will try to sign them to extensions, but if the contracts are not cost effective, the Leafs will trade them
not only are avs strengthening their blue line with Kulak trade but they have freed up cap space
expectation is Avs will use a good chunk of that cap space to bring in another forward perhaps a centerman
can attach them to all the big names on the trade board including Kadri
Calgary Flames still testing the market on Kadri. By the way he wants to be traded at this point.
They are looking at the interest for Coleman and Weegar.
There are other options including Whitecloud
Conroy is going to play the patience game to understand what the market is

Just pull the triggers on the deals you've been rumored to have been happy with, don't wait. Getting greedy almost always never works out.

Maybe Ottawa wants Weegar as a catalyst for them to get going on the new building just like here.

Obviously we don't know all the details but the approach with Conroy seems to be
1. Set a price
2. When that price is met do a final check in with the interested teams to see if the deal can be beat.
3. Close deal.
Tough to know where they are at. They could have a bunch of teams who have made offers close to their price, but not there yet. Or they could be doing the final round check ins to see if the price can be beat.

Kadri wanting to be traded at this stage both makes sense for him, and the organization.
Conroy has been nothing but a players GM, so I'd wager he's gone.
Assuming Coleman goes as well, Conroy has hit my criteria from a few months back.
A+
...entering the surprise "S" tier if more than just Kadri and Coleman go.

He's probably price checking right now. Sounds like a lot of teams want Coleman so he has a lot of calls to make. He can talk fast but not all the other GMs can keep up with him!

Plus each call is likely 90+ minutes.

90% chance Coleman is dealt (thinks a late 1st is maybe the most they will get)
75% chance Kadri gets dealt. (Teams hate the third year of term on his deal)
35% chance Weegar gets dealt.

I am equal parts excited at the thought of multiple 30+ vets getting shipped for futures and ready to be disappointed when only Coleman gets traded by the TDL.

Sounds about right...a first for Coleman is a home run IMO

Buying out the last year of Kadri's contract is very affordable.
Cap hit of $1.167 mil in 2028/29 and $1.167 mil in 2029/30 with the salary cap
is going to be way over $113 million is really nothing.
edit: I used the capwages buyout calculator and they show the buyout as $1.167 which is wrong. It should be $2.333

A shame really.
But he’s exactly the guy I want if I’m the GM of a team poised to go on a long playoff run. Assuming Balakey is healthy.
And no way was his goal against EDM a kick.

Coleman being a bidding war is accurate information.
Kadri is tricky because of the $$$.

Does the Kadri piece not have to be figured out first before you trade Coleman?
If you trade Coleman first (without retention) and then a potential Kadri deal gets scuttled, Conroy potentially misses maximizing the Coleman return without also using his retention slot to trade Kadri.
