I wonder about Gulyayev... He appears to be having a down year in the KHL but is only 20 and is in his 3rd KHL season.
Bader was very high on this guy in his draft year... But his stock is down. He's got tools though.

The Flames get pushed around all the time because their two most willing combatants are Klapka, who is not a fighter by nature, and Lomberg, who is a featherweight. Their third-toughest forward wears a tinted visor because he had five documented concussions before he even made the show and bright lights give him a headache.
In the short term, I think the Flames do want a mixture of talented youngsters and guys who will commit a felony if any of those youngsters get touched.
That’s the real culture you want to establish.

Honestly I would be disappointed if all they get is a late 1st rounder for Coleman. Coleman has better value than that.

So, what you're saying is that if Coleman returns a first, that your valuation of the player is right, and the valuation of the player that the NHL GMs have is wrong.
Value is what the market will pay.

Don't know where else to talk about this - the US Olympic men's team drama is blowing up a bit. These guys are getting absolutely flamed for the joke Trump made about the women's team especially. if you're ownership or management of the Leafs or Jets or Sens why would you let Brady, Matthews, Hellebuyck miss time to go to Trump's state of the union? I think you consider saying no season is back on and that's not a legit absence you're suspended if you do that.

His market right now is hot, I don't think he makes it back from the upcoming road trip.
Kadri and Mack markets have started to pick up. Kadri more so then Mack.
LA has inquired about Kadri since Fiala injury.

Oh boy this is gonna cause some consternation, asking doesn't hurt but it feels damned near impossible if not absolutely bat#### crazy to see the 4th last in the league flames outbidding contending teams and paying a huge haul of futures to the 2nd last place team in the league that we are jockeying for draft position and trying to rebuild more effectively then.
On the positive side in 3 or 4 years we are probably back in this thread talking about if we can get another 28th overall pick, B prospect and a retread for Thomas if we use a retention spot and talking about how things might have been different if we got Stenberg instead of St. Lou haha. To be clear if he can be had for decent value I like the player, just doesn't seem like a good fit timing wise.
