Let everything go all period and then give out that penalty at the end? Weak. Otherwise canada was the better team the one breakdown just killed them. Only critique on my end is not getting enough shots off. I feel like celebrini is the only guy firing pucks. US will close quickly so I feel like a powerplay or a quick release is Canada's path back into it

McDavid seems effective against average NHLers, and lesser Olympic teams, but has been underwhelming best on best / against other stars

If you’re going to call his line the nuclear option, it’d be nice to see somebody other than Celebrini stand out

Canda is 8/11 so closer than one thinks. US has 1 extra win to be as close to 50/50 as you can get.

Tread lightly or people will remind you that he has 13 points in 5 games and is the best athlete of any sport at the games.

I actually thought that period went great for Canada until the penalty call. They were doing some frustrating things in the offensive zone on occasion but they were spending a lot of time there. Other than Boldy going 1 on 2, the USA didn't have much at even strength until the last minute there.

I haven't liked the line combinations and utilizations all tournament. McK, McD and Mack are an exiting line to watch, but putting them out for a defensive draw when we're down by one is a head scratcher. They can't win a FO to save their lives.

Waiting until midway through the third in an elimination game to finally put Bennett and Marchand together... Reinhart as the 13th forward in the gold medal game, when he has back to back Stanley Cup clinching goals (including 4 goals in the last one), and is one of the top snipers (and one of the best defensive forwards) in the game.

Missing Crosby is a huge hole, but man do I ever hope we can overcome it. USA can themselves!

In the 2 playoff games, McDavid has 4 points in the 2 games (on 7 goals).

Let's hope he goes all underwhelming the rest of this game.
