Seriously, let’s play some hockey here and step it up now.
Think about shots to generate a rebound and get on the board.
Cooper knew Finland’s strategy and has to get the boys adjusting to the trap and collapse in the o-zone.

You’re probably right. But in men’s Olympic hockey it’s hard to come back from two. Juniors or women’s sure. Tough beans here.

You were so right. It would be great to have Bedard right now.

Binnington has an .864 save percentage in the NHL. He sucks and should be nowhere near this team. But Armstrong is the GM so we get this ####.
Terrible rebounds, terrible glove. He sucks and the team in front of him knows it.

Canada is getting a lot of chances. They will start to go in soon. Saros just isn't that good anymore.

I think it was best said last game after Crosby went down and wasn’t going to save this team.
When you are a team of all star peers you feel like someone else will step up.
I hate to say it but a Mcdavid “Dig the eff in” speech is needed here.

The competition level is way higher than it's ever been in international tournaments. The idea that Canada's goalie just can't allow any weak ones and they'll win is folly. They need to match the goalie on the other end and Binnington isn't doing that (unsurprisingly).

A short handed breakaway from center isn't just going to happen. That is the result of a very bad error.

A couple good shifts in a row.
Celebrini is feeling it now.

Individual efforts from MacKinnon, McDavid, Makar and Marner are actually fine. Those guys CAN score on those individual efforts. Sometimes that's the only thing that works when a team is trapping - someone like Mack going "I'm the best player on the ice and I'm just going to skate full speed at you, good luck". Even if it doesn't work it puts them on their heels and can create a momentum shift where you score 30 seconds later.
Overall though their strategy of taking shots from everywhere is the right one. A bounce, a rebound, something's going to give.

Fins aren't going to give up grade a chances in the slot. Get some pucks on net and score a dirty goal.

Fully agree prior to the tournament. But of all the goals given up this tournament, between this game and the last none of the goals were his fault. I didn't like him named on the team but he’s worked out fine.

It wasn't really a breakaway from center though, he was coming off the wall at the blue line. It's not a "you should stop that" situation or anything but it's a situation where he's either going short side or cutting across the crease and going backhand. There are only a couple of realistic possibilties; it's not unstoppable.
