Why isn't Andersson playing? Is he not better than OEL and Broberg?

I don't think the problem is really that they have a bunch of plumbers out there. The problem is frequently that they've got a bunch of all stars who are being asked to play like plumbers most of the time - i.e., over the course of a game we need to be conservative and wait for our chances and then we have the talent to finish those chances and win the game without giving up too much.
|
They're not being asked to play like plumbers. This team scored 20 goals in the prelim round.
Czechia lined up for 4 players at the blueline. Even the most skilled players in the world are not going to break through that wall on the rush very often. Teams playing that style want you to try to carry the puck through them, so they can pick off pucks when you force it and strike on the counterattack.
Are there any real-world examples of teams in this tournament (or any best-on-best tournaments) playing the way you want Team Canada to play?

Otherwise I assume he’s drunk. The reffing sucked but it sucked equally.

not even close...that was the worst missed call in history. 30+ seconds of too many skaters and then they score and celebrate the goal with too many skaters lol.

Harley with a pee wee level mistake is what i was screaming at the TV. We're taught in pee wee to not shoot in traffic with a forward coming to challenge that high, for that exact reason it bounces back.
Even my kid in peewee now, that's something that's beat into him as a d man.
Honestly, Canada is lucky as hell to come out of that on the right side.
I have had fun trolling my Oiler friends though. Game on the line, and McDavid is not doing McDavid things, kinda like the Stanley Cup Finals. lol.

Just copy and paste the numbers, in this case 2024223559489376304, from the address bar. Then go to advanced, click on the youtube icon and put those numbers in between the you tube words .
It would look like this YOUTUBE]2024223559489376304[YOUTUBE]
I just took the [ at the start so it wouldn't actually work.

That's the way the Czech plays, in a game they up by 1 or tied game, they'll trap, trap, trap and trap some more. In a tied game, they hope they can bring it to a shootout. But, this Olympic, they don't have a Hasek and Hostal != Hasek.
