I think they trade Hanley, and/or Pachal at the very least. I doubt they get an offer that blows their socks off for either Weegar or Whitecloud before the trade deadline, so they won't be in a rush to trade either unless they ask out.

I think Weegar gets dealt to the Sens in a deal for Yakumchuck. I think the Sens want to make a splash and make a statement, and with no first rounder, and I thought I read somewhere that they've soured on him a little.

I think the Flames take both into next season and re-evaluate where they are at mid season.
That said if someone knocks their socks off with an offer then a move will be made now but I am unsure if either player is going to get that kind of a return at the moment. If you want a socks blown off offer you'll likely have to wait until next season and hope Weegar rebounds. (Which I do think he will.)

Although Whitecloud is probably the most movable, I think they keep him. I think they look on him as a solid veteran to pair up with younger players.

I agree, one will be traded if the Flames' socks are blown off. Time will tell if there is a buyer prepared to do that.

Aggressive.
I would put the over/under line for vets being moved at 1.5. I'm usually pretty bad at predicting though.

My thoughts exactly. If I'm Conny, I'm keeping Whitecloud unless someone makes an offer I can't refuse.
I'd rather move one of our other dmen. Does Weegar want to go to a contender?

I think the thing right now is that Bahl-Whitecloud as a pair syltistically help shelter the younger dmen.
They can take all the defensive zone starts, don't require any real offensive deployment, and can be matched against other team's top lines.
Weegar is the better d-man, but you don't really want him being your match up guy, and he's taking offensive minues.
So you either have to shift him to left, or he's blocking Parekh, Brz, and Mews in the longer term.
I think if he's open to moving, and if there is a package on the table for him that helps longer term, then he's a guy you consider moving.
I'd think that would be more of a draft day move though TBH

I don't want to move Lomberg for a 4th round pick (as much as I trust the scouting staff to find gold in the 4th round).
He's the guy you keep "for the culture" while shipping guys like Coleman, Kadri, and Weegar for meaningful returns.
Unless his contract demands are unrealistic (and I can't see a guy with 8 points in 50 game asking for more than a couple of schmil for a couple of years).

What prevents you from bringing him back as a UFA? I doubt anyone else is going to offer him much more than league min anyway.

Nothing, but I can't recall too many examples of a team trading a UFA at the deadline only to sign the same player on July 1 (Perron and St. Louis comes to mind).

Given Weegar's trade protection, I would assume it will be Whitecloud.
Now, if a team comes in with a good offer for Weegar that Weegar does like, then perhaps he gets traded. I just think it would be a much more difficult trade to make given that protection.
I have Whitecloud so far, but I can't see the Flames keeping both, and Whitecloud's contract is so easy to move. I am starting to think he gets a first, or even a bit better given the term and how well he has played.

I doubt Whitecloud is traded, unless its for a huge overpay.
The don't think Weegar will be traded this year, absent a huge overpay.
I think Coleman will be traded.
I doubt Kadri will be traded this year, although I don't think it would take a huge overpay to get him. But I think Conroy's price is quite high to start with.

I don’t think any of Kadri, Coleman, Whitecloud, or Weegar are traded by the deadline. Maybe one of the throwaway guys like pachal or Hanley do though

Kadri's play says to me he wants out and/or he's been told they're working on deals.

What team that is picking at the top of the draft is buying a veteran? The best you can hope for is a team that thinks they are contender but flops out of the POs.

TPS reports must be done, Lomberg stays.

Need to find a way to get Milton Gastrin from Washington if that’s the case. Throw in a swing line stapler.

I think they wait until next year to trade one of Weegar or Whitecloud
