Huge day coming up, I've got a feeling that this is the day the Gold starts to arrive.

Women’s Curling Round Robin matchups start at 01:05. Canada (1-1) faces Great Britain (0-2). This should be on CBC.

Run 1 of the Men’s Giant Slalom starts at 02:00. Run 2 should start at 05:30.

The Women’s Dual Moguls 1/16 Final starts at 02:57. Maia Schwinghammer, Laurianne Desmarais-Gilbert, Jessica Linton, and Ashley Koehler are the Canadians in this event. I think this will be covered at least in part on CBC. The Finals are at 03:46.

At 04:00 the Women’s 4x7.5km Cross-Country Relay begins. I think this will be on CBC.

Germany plays Latvia in Men’s Hockey at 04:10 and I think this will be on TSN.

Sweden also plays Slovakia in Men’s Hockey at 04:10 and I think it will be on SNW.

After a dramatic day Canada (3-0) faces Switzerland (3-0) in Men’s Curling at 06:05 and I think this will be on CBC.

The Women’s 7.5km Sprint Biathlon starts at 06:45. Shilo Rousseau, Nadia Moser, Pascale Paradis, and Benita Peiffer are the Canadians.

Canada competes in Quarterfinals for the Women’s Team Pursuit Speed Skating starting at 08:00.

At 08:40 Canada faces Germany in a Quarterfinal for Women’s Hockey. This should be on TSN, SN1, and will probably be on CBC.

Also at 08:40 Finland plays Italy in Men’s Hockey.

The Men’s 500m Speed Skating Final starts at 09:00. Anders Johnson, Cedrick Brunet (Nephew of Jennifer Heil, current Chef de Mission and two time Moguls medalist), and Laurent Dubreuil are the Canadians in this event.

At 10:00 Run 3 of the Women’s Individual Skeleton starts and may be on SNW. Jane Channell is currently in 15th, Hallie Clarke is in 20th. Run 4 should start at 11:35.

At 10:45 the Men’s Individual – Large Hill Ski Jumping starts. Calgarian Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes is the Canadian. The Final Round starts at 11:57.

Women’s Curling continues at 11:05 and Canada will face Switzerland. This may be on TSN4.

Qualification for the Women’s Big Air Freestyle Skiing starts at 11:30. Skye Clarke, Elena Gaskell, Megan Oldham, and Naomi Urness are the Canadians.

At 12:15 the Quarterfinals of the Men’s Short Track 1500m begin. William Dandjinou is in the first race, Felix Roussel in the fifth race, and Steven Dubois is in the sixth race. The Semifinals are at 13:49. The Final will be at 14:35.

The Heats for the Women’s 1000m Short Track start at 13:01. Courtney Sarault is in Heat 1, Kim Boutin is in Heat 5, and Florence Brunelle is in Heat 7.

At 13:10 Finland plays Switzerland in a Quarterfinal matchup in Women’s Hockey. At the same time the usa faces Denmark in Men’s Hockey (which I think will be on TSN).

At 14:05 the Semifinal for the Women’s 3000m Short Track Relay begins. Canada will be in the second race.

not sure when's the last time I was as happy for a gold medalist as I am for Lucas Pinheiro Braathen right now. First medal ever for Brazil at the Winter Olympics.

Sweden pulls the goalie with a 5-3 lead since goal differential will determine quarterfinal placing

Stupid biathlon question. The french women ski so fast they outski their penalty misses. Couldn't a top regular cross country skier shoot moderately and ski fast enough to win?

Yes if Finland beats Italy, Sweden will finish 3rd in the group. Tiebreaker is goal difference in games involving the 3 teams.

Slovakia +1
Finland 0
Sweden -1

If somehow Italy forces overtime then Sweden wins the group.

Canada loses to the Swiss in men’s curling. Apparently the role of villain of the Winter Olympics didn’t inspire Kennedy.

Fun storyline for the Finland - Italy game is that it's quite literally master veesus apprentice, as former Team Finland head coach Jukka Jalonen is now coaching Italy, and Antti Pennanen behind the Finnish bench used to be his assistant coach.

Italy has looked a lot like a Jalonen team, making both Sweden and Slovakia really work for for those wins. I think however tonight won't be tight, as I think playing a back-to-back game really heavily favors NHL players, the skill level is already obviously heavily slanted towards Finland, and Finnish players are really familiar with Italy's defensive system.

2-0 already.
Edit: 3-0.

They should have a 100m dash in speed skating, just the straightaway.

Canada had the fastest time in the Women’s Team Pursuit Quarterfinals. Semifinal on Tuesday morning.

That would be a great event. I think they’d need a bit different blades. But as an event I would for sure watch that every Olympics.
