I could see the Sens offering a 2nd for Cooley. They are close enough to a playoff spot and he’d be a big upgrade on Reimer.

Whatever floats your boat I guess.
Good for the Flames that they won't be watering down the market.

Fantilli would be the absolute DREAM target, but they would be nutz to let him go.

TBH I don't understand what they are trying to do there at all, so I feel like they're already nuts. But yes, agreed.

Yeah his talents are truly being wasted there.

Fantilli might be a guy worth offer sheeting, even with multiple 1sts involved

Especially with this news though, they are signing two of their centres long term... So no room for Lindstrom then?
Fantilli-Monahan-Coyle-Jenner is a full centre roster.
I wonder what Lindstrom would cost.

Jenner usually plays LW. I expect Coyle will only get 2-3 years. Lindstrom won't be blocked.

I think that's debateable. If he costs Brzutewicz, is that too much?

As far as i can tell, he seems to have mostly played centre this year, though I do recall him playing more wing in the past.
Still, 4th line centre for Lindstrom? That doesn't seem like a reasonable development path for him.

the problem is you have to give up your own 1sts, which for the Flames, could be VERY high for the next few years. not worth the risk.
I would love to pry him out of CBJ but I can't really think of a scenario that doesn't involve Zayne going the other way.
Depending on where the Flames end up in this year's draft, I wouldn't be opposed to putting that high 1st on the table though.

I was thinking that Don Waddell didn't draft lindstrom, but I see that he was hired a few weeks pre draft, so maybe he is more attached to the player.

I'd probably roll the dice on that to get a 21yr old #1C though, especially because it wouldn't subtract from our current prospect pool. But it could/would absolutely blow up in our faces lol

Lindstrom only played 32 games in his draft year, no games in his draft+1, and has 7 points in 23 games in the NCAA in his draft+2.
Honestly if you give up more than a 2nd round pick you're probably overpaying at this point because you're paying for his 4th OV draft pedigree.
But nothing since he was drafted supports that he still has that potential. Great as a buy low candidate but Columbus has no reason to sell low.

I think it’s going to be a case of they hold onto him till he busts or figures it out. If they’d take a reasonable value then I wouldn’t mind the Flames taking it but not sure I’d even give Brzutewicz for him. Stats aren’t inspiring and I always thought he went too high though
