He's elite at skating fast, handling and shooting at top speed, not getting hit while doing so and diving.

Pavel Bure comes to mind as a burner that could stick handle at top speed but he played at a time when the overall game was played slower.

It's kind of surprising more players haven't been able to line him up for some big hits but it's one of those things where they fear him skating right by them if they take an aggressive angle.

I said in the last game, Bahl plays him as well as anyone. I think the big hit is too risky as you say. You look dumb if he just evades you and you slide into the boards. Bahl's huge wingspan pushed him to the outside so he just had a pass out front play, which you can handle.

Also the league no longer has the Marchment, Cooke, Torres, Samuelsson players that were willing to go out of their way and seek to injure players. If for example Cooke played in today's NHL in the same division as McDavid I could see him going out on the ice with the sole intent to take McDavid's head off as he did with Marc Savard. The league doesn't really have those kind of players any more and is better off for it.

Which reminds me, Cal Clutterbuck probably deserves a spot on that list.

Best offensive player maybe but McDavid has a lot of holes in his game. I would take prime Crosby over prime McDavid any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Pissy is mad because he wasn’t allowed to wear his engagement hat.
He has to be the single most unhappy person making USD$14 million per year.

I think you should read the article again, or moreso watch the video. The agent never offered his assessment about Pickard being #1. He said that in his discussions with Bowman, Bowman wasn't sure if Pickard was the #1 or not. He then adds that Bowman wasn't sure if Pickard was the #1 but the coach had the flavors he liked, implying Bowman wasn't sure but Knoblauch wanted Ingram and Jarry. The agent is arguing that they shouldn't have sent Pickard down because his numbers are nearly identical, he's very well-liked in the dressing room, and 9-2 in the playoffs wheb Ingram and Jarry have only played 12 playoff games combined. The agent thinks there is still uncertainty in the crease for Edmonton (he calls out the goalies for not having stolen a single game other than Pickard doing it once) and Bowman will eventually bring Pickard back up to replace one or the other.
In short, Bowman is dumb, the coach is even dumber, they never should have sent Pickard down because all 3 goalies suck but at least Pickard has stolen a game and is well-liked in the room. Can't say I disagree with the agent and he sounds like a knowledgeable guy.

Let’s face it, Bowman plays these games with rotating goalies because the Edmonton fans and media are dumb. They want to see 1980s firewagon hockey, but expect 2020s goaltending stats to go with it. They seem to have forgotten that Grant Fuhr had terrible regular season numbers, because the best goalie in the world can’t put up good numbers when the opposing team gets multiple clean breakaways per game.
Skinner isn’t Fuhr, but he did as well as most goalies could do when the top players refuse to backcheck. The difference is that Fuhr had Gretzky, Kurri, Messier, Anderson, and Coffey in front of him and they could outscore their mistakes. Skinner only had McDavid and Draisaitl. So the fans ran Skinner out of town as a scapegoat, then turned on Pickard.
Pickard and his agent should thank their lucky stars because the Oilers are paying him NHL money not to play in Edmonton.

Exactly, if there were still players like Derian Hatcher and Scott Stevens who used to head hunt and be happy about taking top players out the league would be worse for sure.

Just saw an interview with 14 year old Crosby. He showed more personality and positivity then than Mavi and Pissy combined today.
And that’s probably the hardest hit Mavi has had in 10 years.

My Twitter feed seems to be flooded with Oilers fans gushing over the most basic photos of Pissy.
There was one of him celebrating with the German goalie and the poster said something like it warms their heart seeing the both of them.
