Doubt it. I can't seem him being dealt before Wed.

Hmm, let me think about that.
28 or 29 1st… in which century?

First, he would have to be in a situation that he needs rescuing from.
Being the first-ever draft pick and anointed Golden Child of a brand-new franchise is not such a situation.

It just won’t happen.
If we had a prime aged Panarin under contract or a player of that quality that we were trading…maybe that.

I doubt we see any big trades before the Olympics. It would just be dead salary taking up room on the new team's cap for almost three weeks.
I bet we see a bunch of deals announced right after the roster freeze ends.

It’s the Flames so while the answer should be unequivocally “yes” the reality will be “no”. And the other best times to trade him (and Coleman) were yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that, and the day before that… and the… and the.. onward backwards for a couple months.
It’s not rocket science, but the Flames without fail will overthink the #### out of things.
But don’t worry without fail you’ll get the usual sales line on here and elsewhere as to all the million reasons why the blindingly obvious “isn’t obvious” because “how could we know” and all that. Even though, it’s obvious as ####, but there’s like 7 fans on here to rally and rage and tell you why not. Anyway, fun! Being a Flames fan is the best!
They’ll trade him by August, about 4-5 months late.

So you want to give Kadri away for future considerations, if no offers happen to come in for actual assets in the next 24 hours?

I’d do Zayne plus for Tij in a heartbeat but it’s not even a deal. Tij isn’t dealable for all the reasons you want him.
He isn’t even worth Zayne + protected 1st. Tij is a superstar.

Maybe. He could be. Tij is for sure.
Also not that weird. If it was weird, people wouldn’t propose a bunch of trades involving Zayne for Tij haha. Like get real. You think they’re on the same level?
If Tij was available when the Flames picked Zayne would not be a Flame right now. So no. Not crazy. Actually wanna know what’s crazy? Thinking they’re super comparable.
Otherwise why not just propose 1:1?

You are not worth talking to. You know why, you feel guilty (that’s why you keep trying to engage with me), and our discourse is over. You were in the wrong that night.

Flames have a lot of young wingers in the system. Decent chance they take another one this draft. They are not deep on the backend and have no other dman that fits Zaynes profile. I wouldn’t trade Zayne 1 for 1 for Tij, I thought Parekh was a step above everyone on that team Canada roster, at least when the puck was on his stick. Flames are not itching to move Zayne and vice versa with Utah with Tij so it’s a pointless convo

Zayne was great at the juniors but he was absolutely not a step above Iginla at the juniors. Not at all. Dude. What?
Zayne is good do not get me wrong… he is not Tij Iginla. If you have the chance to trade Parekh for Iginla 1:1 it’s a total home run and you take it 10/10 times. Holy ####. Can’t even believe I’m having this conversation but super reflective of the bias on this website. Wow.

Tij was more of a checker at the world juniors, did not have the ability to get the same amount of points as Zayne. Could have been that Tij has not made the NHL yet but whatever the reason he had far fewer points than Zayne did.
