Default 2026 Milano-Cortina Viewing Logistics

Hello all,

I'm almost embarrassed to ask this question as it is likely something that seems obvious to many of you, but I'm not sure how best to ensure I can record a particular event.

According to https://olympic.ca/schedule-2026-winter-olympics/ , the men's downhill is at 0330 on Feb 7th, and the women's downhill is at 0330 on Feb 8th. I'm not sure which of our various networks is going to cover one or the other, and their broadcast schedules aren't helping:

https://www.tsn.ca/olympics/article/...-games-on-tsn/

"Olympic Morning/Milano-Cortina Primetime" runs from 7am to 3pm on Feb 7th, for instance. The preceeding show is a re-run of the opening ceremonies. Should I be DVR'ing 8 hours of "primetime" in the hope that a 3:30am race gets rebroadcast in part or in whole during that window? Is there a smarter way of trying to catch this as a viewer?

https://www.cbc.ca/sports/olympics/summer/tv-schedule

CBC has "Petro Canada Olympic Winter Games Morning: Day 1" starting at 4am on Feb 7th... maybe I need to record that too?

This feels strangely like bottom-dragging for the fish I want to catch, but maybe that's just how it's done.

Thanks in advance for any help, and please don't dunk on me too hard if you're more tv/tech-savvy and are surprised not everyone is, too.

The last few Olympics I've switched completely to watching the CBC online feeds because I can go to any event and watch the replay without worrying about when CBC or TSN will grace us with the event (if at all). There's also no advertising and the commentary is usually the "global" feed so it's not hyper focused on a specific countries' athletes too.

So if you have a way to browse the CBC website on your TV or use the CBC Gem app, you should be able to do that to avoid the hassle of wondering when they'll air the events and watch them at your leisure.

EDIT: Oh, and CofR has always been great for sorting out what channels some events will be on, but that's usually shorter notice.

Ya the CBC Gem/online feeds are pretty great. The networks typically say what events will be carried live on each channel but it takes some digging and research to find it all out and it always seems to be subject to change.

Exactly this ^

Best if you have a streaming stick is to add CBC Gem app. All events will be live or on demand, available any time you want to watch.
Good luck!
