But you can't do that!

The league is cracking down on it!

There must be a lot of heated talks.

Whoever gets him is going to get arguably the best player of the deadline.

IIRC the media reported that Conroy played Andersson for leverage.

My guess is he's going to force his way on to Florida or Vegas for a minimal return.

Pararin for Shane Wright plus seems a little too easy. Moves catton back to center. Gives Seattle the star they are missing.

I doubt the Rangers are looking for draft picks in 2030.

Presumably anyone he wants to sign a new contract with. He has full NMC so he has final say.

Is this only allowed when a trade is really close or can this last until March 6th?

I also think Andersson did want to play that last game as a Flame at home.

But doesn't change the fact that the Flames were taking a risk playing him while he negotiated with other teams, especially since they decided to play him more than they had pretty much all season lol.

Also I don't think the narrative that the league wouldn't let the Flames sit him for a game or two was ever really true or had any legs, sure if it stretches weeks, but it was never going to be an issue for 1-2 games.

There is no official rule that prevents them from healthy scratching him as long as they want.

But it is something the NHLPA almost filed grievances on in the past if the player is held out too long and something Bettman has said they will keep an eye on.

Even with 50% retained, there aren't a lot of top teams that can fit him under the cap. Maybe Detroit?

How does that create leverage?

Carolina Hurricanes will be all over this.

Have the two Dallas firsts they will try to dangle for sure.

Could see Pittsburgh being a dark horse too - try to make one last push with 87 and 71.

Was anyone arguing about a day or two? Most of the push back was scratch indefinitely until a trade
