Ya, I'd settle for just banning those things. Snow blowers are OK because they are mostly one volume and tone. I get needing to do it, but it's just kinda dickish to do when there's a dusting of snow at 6am on a Sunday. I had thought we were living in a society.
New windows are on the list. Such a long list...

And where does that leave Grandpa with a bad back after a 2-foot dump of snow? He's getting to A&W for that early breakfast with his buddies one way or another, and if the city tries to ban him from using a snowblower that's a quick court challenge loss and a bunch of municipal money wasted

Same boat here. New windows needed, and the list is long. It's overwhelming, at times!

I'm pretty sure it isn't them personally. They pay some guy from Kijiji, or possibly a relative.

And with clean sidewalks, no one will think to check on the home owners.

noisy people on trains and busses really grind my gears. I think my trip to Japan last year has forever ruined European public transport for me. Why can't people just shut up for a bit? Not talk on the phone, not be a nuisance?

Watching videos and reels and ѕhit on public transport with the volume on is even worse. Use goddamned headphones, you inconsiderate degenerates, no one wants to hear your stupid doomscrolling.

The phone is on a payment plan, they can’t afford headphones.

Even better, if they are the opposite sex from you and they are talking to their spouse, just lean in towards their phone and say in a sultry voice "Would you like a towel honey?". Then enjoy the ensuing questions from the other end.

Every time I am in an airport there is some a$$hole walking and talking to someone on facetime with the phone right in front of their face, no head phones.

Dude, I cut grass through high school and university. We had a lot of contracts at condo developments. Doesn't matter what time of day you're out there with your power equipment, someone like you comes storming out to yell:
"My baby is sleeping, come back later."
"I work nights, come back in four hours."
"It's too early, come back later."
"Why are you working around here when we're trying to have supper?"
"You're scaring my dogs, do you have to be so loud?"
With those jobs you just have to nod, say sorry, and then carry on or else you'd never get anything done. I also did snow removal for two winters in my gap years. Same exact story. This dude is probably working 18-hour-days when it snows. He cannot work around your sleep schedule.
I do get it, FWIW, but having been on the other side of this and running into hundreds of people giving me tips and tricks on times that work better for their schedules I definitely got to a point where I just said fk ya.

Can you post earlier in the day instead? I've got other stuff to do in the afternoons and can't be reading this right now.
