Great timing and awareness on that shot by Whitecloud. Totally made that play. Been more and more impressed with him.

What? I thought the Flames only gave up goals in the last 30 seconds of a period.

What they do with Whitecloud will be interesting.
If he was 24/25 you probably keep him and try and extend him, but at 29 as a big RHD he likely has significant trade value as we approach the deadline. He seems like a really quality person though, so I wouldn't mind him being one of the key vets leading a much younger team next year.

It's crazy that Sharangovich is only 2 goals back off the team lead, after the start he had. Only scoring 2 goals in the first 23 games(Sharan was a healthy scratch for 4 of them).

Crazy the effect confidence and a bigger role can have. He's been one of their best players lately.

I’d like to see either Whitecloud or Weegar be moved by the draft at the latest. And at this point, I think I’d prefer to keep Whitecloud, although with his contract, he’ll likely get a better return.

Depending on how things go…keep him through next year and maybe let one of the others move on for value returned? Have to see how the other D progress maybe first.

Yeah, if he's 25 you lock him up for sure.
Even at 29, that is not old for a defenseman, and it would be totally justifiable to keep him.
But as you say, the fact that RDs are so in demand, it is just so enticing to trade him and get more assets. I mean, you pretty much have to.
But in any other scenario, I would LOVE to have him on the team
